Excellent food, especially the beef entree. Service was a tad slow but very polite and responsive. We had a birthday dinner there and the staff were happy to light candle sand bring the cake out. We had the $20 all you can eat banquet which was amazing value for money. It is available Mondays and Tuesdays and you are offered a soup, selection of entrees, mains and deserts. The food was excellent and the dishes varied. We came out very full! Service was a bit slower than usual, other times I've been there it has been excellent but this time I think they were short-staffed. A very pleasant evening. We all ordered the banquet for $35 per head. The food was very good, but the servings small. Would recommend ordering separate dishes from the menu rather than the banquet.   (September, 2009)

Had a great meal at Gurkhas, excellent value for money as always and the food was delicious. Service was not a efficient as it normally is, however it was very busy, particularly for a Tuesday, so perhaps that's why. A wonderful meal, we ordered the $20 tasting menu and it was excellent value, there were so many delicious dishes and thought it was all you can it and I would have loved to eat more we were all absoultely stuffed. Not the place to go if you're in a hurry, but a great place to sit and relax with friends. The service can be tatty, but ignoring that, the food is wonderful, the atmosphere is great, and the prices are right.

Grab the Special entree, mix in a few currys (ensuring at least one is goat!) and finish off with a Rato Mohan ... or go a banquet and let the night slide away with a few bottles of red alongside it all.   (gastroccentric - See my reviews (24) - December, 2008)
