If you stick to the ribs or lamb shank you'll do pretty well here but if you're going for the much hyped steaks or service you're in for a bit of a let down.

all in all a good place for a few mates to go for a few drinks (save everyone a hassle and just order over the bar)but i wouldn't take a young lady there on a date, that's for sure.   (Hog's Breath - See my reviews (3) - November, 2008)

Maybe you can read a book there but it is very noisy.

The food is below average, dont expect too much!

We had blue steak that seemed boiled rather than fried. The vegies had lost colour and were dry and old.

We expected so much from positive remarks from friends but were after our vist so dissapointed with the quality of the food. The waiter forgot our drink orders too.

I was one of those nights that I will not forget in a hurry, just the two of us out for a meal....

The bill was 80 dollars, not worth the money spent on THAT meal!! it was deeply dissapointing, and they did not seem to care when we afterwards said we were not so happy. It was on an evening that was very busy but still that should NOT effect the quality of the meal!!

Not impressed! It seemed an effort for the staff to be there, not the friendly welcoming we expected. Fair enough the ad on tv is a bit over the top but just a smile would have been good. The steaks are tasteless but would suit anyone who has no teeth. Have to mention the sweets are really good though.   (May, 2008)

The steak we ordered seemed like it was boiled in water, blue grey colour, very dry and tasteless! The vegies they served seemed old.

We heard so much about them and were excited to go!

It was a disappointment! For the two of us it was 70 dollars, no entree or desserts. It was expensive and tasteless food.

It's all just so bland. Whatever you do don't order the meal with the chicken burrito in it - as it tastes like a chiko roll (basically a frozen spring roll). If you want a real burrito with real meat go to Tacos in Salamanca. It's better value for money and isn't a forced friendly American Chain restaurant... Very expensive main courses for what is essentially a chain restaurant. Meals were pretty good but there are better steaks to be had in Hobart. Good fun for a large group, with reasonably-priced drinks to offset the food bill.   (CJ - See my reviews (51) - May, 2007)

The steak is very tender as it's cooked all day, but the side dishes aren't that exciting. Service isn't the best but is at least friendly, steaks are quite expensive (upwards of $26-28) - on the up side: drinks aren't.
