"There are many things we've never done, but we ain't never had too much fun", so the Hog's Breath slogan goes. It's an expression of a philosophy that has made Hog's Breath a tear away success story.

Indeed, whenever Australian homegrown franchise systems are spoken about, Hog's Breath invariably gets a mention. Why? Because for a franchise system to expand from a single outlet to 68 in just 17 years, it must be getting most things right.

All Hog's Breath Cafes are in essence themed licensed restaurants catering to all ages. They incorporate three interacting components - a seated food service area, a licensed saloon bar and a merchandise shop exclusively carrying the Hogster clothing label.

Superb, pefect and value for money are all words that come to mind after my first ever dinning experience at Hog's Breath. After hearing so many positive comments about this establishments our expectations were extremely high and the friendly staff and quality of food did not dissapoint. we are a bunch of uni students from Melbourne city, coming all the way to Chadstone, not knowing the right way and walking the wrong direction which took us about 45 mins to get there. When we got there, it was only 8 something, and they told us that there were no prime ribs left. So we ordered our food and waited. The food was NOT GREAT at all. Our steak was so dry and serving was so small. Some of us went to other branches of Hogs Breath before and we had such a great experience but this branch disappointed us. We saved up just for this meal and this was what we got.sad.   (Not so great after all - June, 2008)

Definitely not value for money. The actual plate to which main course was served on was hotter than the food itself, everything on the plate was warm and tasted as those it was sitting out for too long. Hog tail fries were the most revolting side I had ever had (warm, superdry, hard, stale fries). It doesn't seem $80 for two gets you much value at Hogs Breath Cafe. Maybe they were having a bad day I don't know??? The entrees were nice though.   (January, 2008)
