"We enjoyed our meal it was good no complaints"

"The food was great but it did take some time to get service and on-going service was non-existant. The staff seemed to think once we had our meals, their work was done. Getting more drinks was difficult and there was no encouragement to stay for dessert etc... We would have spent much more on drinks and would have probably been talked into dessert, if encouraged. O.K. but not special." more reviews

Terrible service, took 10 minutes top get a glass of water, 50 minutes for food to arrive   (April, 2008)

Overall 4.5 - Food 5, Ambience 7, Value 3, Service 3

Hogies used to be my fav place to eat, but over the last few years it has gone down hill. We waited over an hour for our food, and they forgot about our entrees, but still tried to charge us for them on departure. Price of the food has gone up and the quality has gone down. Will not go back.   (Darwin's Food - See my reviews (7) - March, 2008)

I read love2eat's review about Hogs. It says that she needed to wait over an hour. That was same as my experience when I went there first time. It is near the coast north QLD. But this time I will complain about food and their service. I had definitely food poisoning from the steak and rang them to make a complain. But the manager at Rockhampton didn't show any sinscere attitude and even doubted me if I went to any cafes. I did't go to any cafes elsewhere except Hogs on that day. It is hard to prove I got food poisoning from them but even though on TV ad, they say 'It is all about you!' sounds like they have great hospitality. but reality is completely different. I was about to call ambulance. The muscle cramps in stomach was worst experience in my life. I throw up many times. off course I had bad diarrhoea. I won't go there anymore. You should't go!   (sachi - November, 2007)

1st and 2nd experience came to this place i had to wait almost an hour until i got the table, after i ordered the food it came 30 minutes lter to come. the waitress always giving smart-ass answer when u ask. Wont come to this place anymore until they fix their poor service n the way they welcome costumer by telling them to wait in their bar for bloody an hour!!!   (love2eat - August, 2007)
