My husband and I had the delight of dining at this fantastic restaurant just recently. We are locals of the Sunshine Coast and as a Coeliac it was fantastic for me to find a restaurant with such a wide ranging gluten free menu selection. My husband chose the steak which was cooked to perfection, while I had chose the salmon which was seafood at its best. I couldn't resist following up with the chocolate molten dessert - absolutely delightful. We always come back to Hot Pipis when in town. The team are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. As always my husband went for the Curry, as wonderful as ever he tells me. I had Barramundi this time & it was a lovely, well portioned meal. Kids were well looked after with a children's menu that has been updated to include more healthier options. Love the location, love the food and so appreciate that the staff are considerate & friendly even when they are so rushed off their feet as they were the night we dined. My favourite restaurant! We holiday on the sunshine coast 3 times a year and have always visited Hot Pipi's during each stay and that unfortunately is where it will end. Their famous seafood curry is no longer the thick, rich creamy curry with bite that it was, now a runny make at home soup, at least the seafood was cooked well enough. We also ordered the risotto which I was told was dry and bland and the rack of lamb was a very small serving. We had to wait half an hour and ask 3 times before our ordered bottle of Champagne was delivered. Other than that the service was good. The seafood curry was everything they claim - awesome.
