    The Hotel Sorrento's Magnificent restaurant, friendly bars, a sun terrace with sea views and Tabaret ... all conducted by expert, intuitive staff who like to anticipate your every whim. But you'd expect that.

    The Hotel Sorrento has been delivering excellence for a long, long time.

    And, of course, from most windows and just around every corner, the view: sparkling Port Phillip Bay: the Hotel Sorrento's crown jewel. Playground, searoad, National Park and a year round bella vista that has inspired great art for as long as there have been great artists.

      We had a pleasant meal here for dinner during the week. My oysters were very fresh and tasty. We were told that our tuna on noodles and salad would be rare but it was well done, or over done actually! However, the ambience was good and the staff efficient.   (Annie - See my reviews (7) - April, 2008)

    JOHNSON N NJUGUNA - Our fabulous Executive Chef, Johnson was born in Nairobi, Kenya in the early 60's. Johnson was attracted to the trade at the age of twenty. He started his career in a famous Indian restaurant under the instruction of very talented chefs. His skills were highly sought after in the 5 star hospitality industry at places such as The Grand Regency, Hemingway’s Resort and Sarova Hotels. In 2003, Johnson was awarded the Chaine Des Rotisseurs in Nairobi. Johnson arrived in Melbourne, Australia in August 2005 to join the prestigious Accor group at Mount Buller. He then joined the Hotel Sorrento team in November 2006.
