We eat out a lot and typically find there is always one thing wrong at every restaurant - even the so called 'best' ones always seem to make one mistake - however these guys were about as close to perfect as you could want. Superb tastes that matched the expectations set when reading the menu, service that gave us room to enjoy OUR evening, but still made sure we had everything we wanted in a timely manner. I would recommend the long drive that this will represent for many people- you will find it suitably romantic for two, or comfortable for small groups.   (frankclay - See my reviews (3) - April, 2009)

Just had a meal tonight and couldn't wait to tell all it was fantastic, the food was the best my husband and I have ever had. We have been to a few restaurants but nothing compares. Customer service ...brilliant....meal.... portion just right. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Outstanding customer service and a beautiful atmosphere for a quiet romantic dinner. Extremely clean and well maintained premises. A main meal for most people will need to be accompanied by either an entree soup or a dessert becasue the main meals are not overly large. Food presentation was wonderful, very artistic and fresh. Restaurant response - Glad you had a good evening, I would point out we are a restaurant rather than a cafe, guests should be comfortable when they leave, we are not into overflowing plates of food, bread and savoury butters are provided at no charge, normally charged extra in cafe restaurants. Two customers had just a main course and coffee last night and were delighted.   (October, 2008)

I was very happy making a booking wit Hunter's Lodge. Their service is 110%. The ladies really seemed to care about their customers and were genuinely very friendly! The food was lovely. I'm a vegatarian and I always struggle to eat out with limited options, but they were willing to cater for me. Lastly, what a great setting! The gardens, music, everything were great!
