      The best Japanese restaurant have been to - regularly went there once per week when lived in ACT. Service and hospitality is exquisite. Have not found a better restaurant for Japanese. Our favourate restaurant. Soft shell crab and sushi/sashimi platters are amazing, incredible presentation. (Brisbane - October 2008)   (Elisha - See my reviews (2) - October, 2008)

      Used to be a big fan of Iori but its standards has really dropped since my last visit a few years ago.

      The servings are generous but not particularly served with care. The service I received was also below par. The most atrocious thing was when the waiter put his thumb in our saucers of soy sauce and we could see that he had dirty finger nails!! Complete turn off. Another waiter proceeded to collect and then leave piles of dirty dishes next to us on the sushi bench.

      What has happended to this place?? It used to be one of my favourite restaurants.   (Haroldluntz - September, 2008)

I take full responsibility for the incident, as it is a result of my poor supervision on my staff. We have carefully looked into our record of the period you might have visit. We had encounter unforeseen sudden leave of the key person and we could not train the new comers well, however this IS NOT good excuse for the unacceptable manners you had experienced at IORI. Now, we have regular staff meeting to try to improve better service. We will do all we can to prevent this kind of bad service to happen again. I apologize again for all the displeasure and anxiety this bad service may have caused you and your guests. we hope we could serve you much better when you visit IORI next time.
