I ate with a group of friends at Jade Buddha last Saturday and ordered the group starter platter as a main course @$39. I found that the quality of the food was substandard in that there was no freshness about the taste and I was very disappointed in relation to what I received for the money. In relation to the service, when the waiter was carrying a bowl over to our table he noticed that there was something in the bowl and tried to remove it by blowing in it. When that did not work he tried to remove whatever it was with his finger. A new bowl had to be requested. The overwhelming opinion in relqtion to the deserts was that they were overpriced. Tea and coffee was ordered and my tea came without milk and one of the coffees without sugar. Another lady at the table ordered a long black with milk and ended up with a flat white. Overall a very disappointing experience for me and I certainly won't be recommending Jade Buddha to any of my friends and definitely won't be revisiting.   (Audrey - April, 2008)

We ate here a few weeks ago when we were in Brisbane for the weekend. Didn't realise it was on menulog too! The whole experience was terrific and we have recommended it to friends and family, local and visitors. It was much more than just a meal but we weren't left feeling like outsiders, even though it is obviously popular with the locals.Congrats guys.An enjoyable and affordable meal.   (Suzi - See my reviews (2) - September, 2007)

Wonderful setting and a delight to sit, watch the sun set and chat with friends. Food was not bad but did not stand up to quality I was expecting.   (andy - August, 2007)

"Capturing 180-degree views of the river... It has an open-plan restaurant, deck and sleek bar..."

Kylie Lang, Brisbane News and Dining Out Guide 2007 - August 2007
"Chic furnishings and an unhindered view of the river and Story Bridge make a great setting for Asian-influenced dishes such as Japanese crumbed chicken breast in katsu curry and Tasmanian salmon with wasabi mayonnaise. The cocktails also have an Asian theme; try the ginger in the Buddha Bliss."

Kylie Lang, Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2006 - September 2006
"Tasty wine, interesting mains, scrumptious desserts, all in a cool setting, with stunning views of the Story Bridge..."

Renae Robinson, Sunday Mail - September 2006
"Spacious and contemporary inside... Staff wear Chinese-style uniforms and the menu ranges from modern Asian to Aussie-style...S ushi in several forms is always a popular choice and a great test of freshness for any restaurant. The wine list is resonably comprehensive and there's a cracker of a cocktail list to be enjoyed at the bar..."
