Ordered a prawn pizza and got a garlic pizza, was to9o hungry to ring and wait for replacement but felt ripped off ! Baptist pizza was nice but will be going elsewhere   (Bert - April, 2013)

The guys are friendly and the pizzas are definitely more than decent! A bit slow on the delivery, but worth the wait. Love the garlic prawn pizza, loaded with prawns and DELICIOUS!   (Taylor - See my reviews (4) - March, 2013)

2hrs and the food still hasn't arrived. Don't order unless you are anorexic and are trying to pretend you do actually eat but can't.   (Gino - March, 2013)

  • Overall 5.3 - Food 6, Value 8, Speed 2

They seem to use quality ingredients etc but sadly the pizza was too moist that our thin crust got stuck on the delivery box and it was very hard to eat. Pan crust seems to be thin enough so if we ever order again, I'd order all pan crust. I also wished they cut the pizza slightly nicer.   (caramelatte - See my reviews (2) - February, 2013)

nice pizza, quick and so cheap!   (Michelle - February, 2013)

  • Overall 1.7 - Food 0, Value 0, Speed 5

I never leave reviews, but this experience can't pass. Before you consider ordering, take all the ingredients on their menu with a pinch of salt. I ordered ribs and a margherita pizza. The ribs were listed to come with corn. None came. Instead, a garlic pizza was delivered as a peace offering. They claimed they tried to phone ahead about it, but no phone call was received, and in the end, I don't like garlic pizzas. The margherita was little better. It was listed with basil, but instead came with oregano. And I hate oregano, and would have never ordered such a thing if it was mentioned on the ingredient list. The explanation? The basil (dried and useless) comes mixed with oregano from their suppliers. How classy. It's summer and there's fresh basil everywhere. The manager refused a refund for their false advertising, and was less than enthused about his business. Just skip them. James Dean would be disappointed.   (Andrew - January, 2013)

  • Overall 5 - Food 5, Value 5, Speed 5

Ordered one hour before closing and pizzas were never delivered and no phone calls were made or were we notified in anyway that they were not coming...very poor effort will not be using again.   (cameron - November, 2012)

  • Overall 0 - Food 0, Value 0, Speed 0

Rude staff, slow service, gross food, what more can I say!?

Waiting over an hour for delivery wouldn't have been such a problem, if the staff member we spoke to on the phone wasn't such a moron. We enquired 3 times as to the whereabouts of our food, only to be told that James Dean Pizza is, quote, "...the busiest restaurant in Australia," and that the delay was not their fault due to an alleged car accident.

Finally the food arrived, with the driver looking perplexed when asked about the apparent accident that held up our delivery.

We ordered the ribs, which were thrown into a pizza box, along with the wedges and cobs. It was a site to behold. The sauce was a thick, sticky mess of gross and the ribs were tough as old boots. The wedges were blackened, soggy and covered in a distasteful concoction of pepper and herbs. The corn cobs were at least vaguely palatable, but even they were a little dry and without butter. The only saving grace was the garlic bread, but I would have got more satisfaction from a packet of heat-at-home garlic bread from Coles.

$50 for a pile of inebidle crap. We will never order from here again. Yuk!   (Carissa - October, 2012)

Food is great but takes way too long to get your food!!! Had delivery twice took at least an hour and a half each time   (Dave - October, 2012)

  • Overall 6 - Food 7, Value 3, Speed 8

On time delivery. No hassell. No fuss. Small pizza suitable for one. Pan is simply thin crust. Toppings taste fresh and delicious. No soggy oil but still a lovely stringy cheese. Nutella chocolate gelato was just choc flav gelato - unsure if this is a mix up. 1kg tub of gelato is only small Chinese container 300g not worth $12 spent on it. Would buy pizza from again.   (Lauren - See my reviews (3) - October, 2012)

Loved the ribs, but thought it was slightly overpriced..

They were in fact one of the best I ever got from home delivery! Delivery guy was kind, although delivery was delayed for a while... but overall it was satisfactory. Didn't quite like the pizza though because it was all soggy when it got to my place.   (Jessica - See my reviews (2) - May, 2012)

Awful. Don't do it to yourself.

They lost our initial order, when we called to follow up they promised to send within half an hour.

But the courier got lost despite very clear instructions. I had to run half way around the neighbourhood to find that he'd pulled into an entirely wrong street and was apparently incapable of figuring out where he was.

So I may as well have just ordered from somewhere close for pickup. At least the food would have been hot. As it was, by the time I found the courier and walked back home it was at best luke warm.

Not that it would have made much difference - the food was inedible muck. The lamb shanks slathered in an icky thick rib sauce, the pasta disgusting.

And there was steel wool in the pasta.

    Bonus.

Food poisoning would really top this awesome experience off.   (Parnell - April, 2012)

Never again. We've eaten here as a family of 5 and were impressed. Ordering home delivery for a family of 5, pizzas arriving almost 1 hour late and hardly edible confirms our unanimous NEVER EAT FROM HERE AGAIN family policy. Adding insult to injury, they promise to call back and address the concerns and we never hear from them again. Very much a 'grab the customer's money and run' business model. What a disgrace!!!

Restaurant quality went down hill 4 years ago, gave it two more chances, still felt quality poor! Just recently decided to order pizza for delivery, was told how long it would be, took nearly an hour & the pizza was the worst I've ever had, not alot of ingredients & very bland!   (Everyday Customer - February, 2011)

I ordered food from James Dean Pizza and the person who took my order was very rude. The pasta was burnt and the wedges were burnt. The pizza had ingredients that you normally don't find on pizza like pesto. We were disappointed to say the least. Never order from this place again.   (Sydn3y112 - September, 2010)
