The James Squire trademark dates back to 1806, when First Fleet convict James Squire built his Brewery, The Malting Shovel Tavern, on the shores of the Parramatta River. Today, more than 150 years later, we bring his legacy to life by creating exceptional, flavoursome and truly unique beers in his name.

James Squire Brewhouse has a dedicated team of brewers who use their experience, knowledge and passion to create a range of exceptional, authentic craft beer styles using only the finest and freshest ingredients.
