Another visit to James Street Bistro today. The corn cakes were really really good. Perfect kickstart to the day. Love the coffee. Been coming here for years & doesn't disappoint   (See my reviews (2) - July, 2011)

Breakfast with my wife & parents on a sunny winters day. I loved my wagyu beef burrito. We were really taken care of by our friendly,smiling waitress. Nothing pretentious here. Good honest food, relaxed attentive service & a good spot to watch the world go by.   (See my reviews (2) - July, 2011)

Wow what a fantastic time we had at the James Street Bistro last night. Best service I have had when dining out for ages. Its the third time I've been there and it hasn't disappointed yet. The staff were really friendly and attentive and had a really good understanding of the menu. Our friendly waitress suggested we try the lamb shank pie and eye fillet. The eye fillet was cooked to perfection and the pie was to die for. Definitely recommend.   (Max - May, 2009)

While we waited 45 minutes for our breakfast to arrive we enjoyed our drinks... a very cold cappuccino and a banana smoothie made up of a very strong banana syrup and a dash of milk. Following these disappointments our meals arrive where the bacon was burnt and the eggs under cooked. While in the middle of eating our meals the waiter arrived to ask us if we would like to bill? This service was terrible and an overall improvement is much needed.   (Kate - See my reviews (3) - April, 2008)
