    Nestled in the leafy streets of Sydney’s Potts Point, jimmy liks is a seductively lit, contemporary restaurant & bar. With a focus on quality & lifestyle both the space & the staff are warm & welcoming.

    Opened in September 2002, jimmy liks was the combined creation of owner Joe Elcham, architect Matthew Darwon & concept guru Rob Sample. On the fringes of Sydney’s nightlife mecca, Kings Cross, this chic, intimate space provides a place for Sydney’s urbanites & visitors alike to dine, mingle & relax to the sophisticated sounds of chilled house & deep, warm electro.

    The long, slender cocktail lounge serves up an original array of Asian inspired cocktails. From a delicate "lemongrass martini" to a fiery "mekong mary" the flavours are clean, fresh & sophisticated. On the long communal dining tables delicious banquets of Thai & South East Asian dishes are served; it’s peasant style fare at its best.

    The team, headed up by General Manager Justin Maloney, is young, energetic & friendly, all dedicated to providing the casual yet sophisticated & affordable experience that is jimmy liks.

    The waitresses at Jimmy Liks are total skanks. Was there on Tuesday night. Aside from the fact that they were continuously disruptive of our conversation, they were also inappropriately 'friendly'....

      The waitresses at Jimmy Liks are total skanks. Was there on Tuesday night. Aside from the fact that they were continuously disruptive of our conversation, they were also inappropriately 'friendly'.

      One of them had the audacity to sit next to my boyfriend during our dinner and proceed to blatantly flirt with him.

      I felt like I was in Bangkok with a slimy little Thai hooker trying to latch on to the first Westerner in sight. NEVER AGAIN! Worst dining experience I've ever encountered! NOT GOING BACK!   (Jimmy Liks? NO THANKS! - September, 2010)
