No menu', you cry, 'but how will I know what to eat?' Do like the locals do and consult the clued-up waiters who, amid the demands of clamouring patrons in this bustling taverna, never miss a beat. Most of the action is out the back and, on a warm night with some BYO ouzo in your belly, you could almost be in Athens.

Confide your culinary preferences and wait to see what appears: perhaps a heart-warming plate of fried vegetables; hot, chewy bread and dips (the taramasalata is a sensual delight, charcoal grilled calamari or a large snapper fillet fried in garlic and lemon. When a frying pan with a large slice of saganaki) was dropped on our table, the waiter urged us to gobble it up quickly before the deliciously chewy texture turned rubbery - we happily obliged. The menu's mysterious but it's unquestionably good.

How about some saganaki and a selection of our home made dips with some pita bread? The first recommendation by the waiter is a nice way to start your meal off.

Choose from fresh seafood, seasoned lamb dishes and various mixed grills -chicken, prawns, calamari, octopus and more...

The best way to eat, choose a variety of dishes and share it all amongst your table to ensure you get a taste of all the flavours.

a bit off and on but can be the best greek experience in melbourne. fantastic experienced staff that, if not completely run off their feet, can lavish you with attention and help. best to visit with a group to really get into the spirit of the ambiance and the sharing platters. you'll eat until you're stuffed as the food just won't stop coming out.   (cassii - See my reviews (11) - October, 2008)

Very Very noisy and to rushed to make order not very clear on what you get, but food was delicious, but would not return in a hurry because of the above.   (September, 2008)

Fantastic food and so much of it - reminded me of my travels through Greece.   (June, 2008)

Why this place had been recommended to us I do not know. I would not recommend it to anyone! I didn’t like the fact that there was no menu - they only cook a very small range of dishes and they cant even do that well. Our lamb was average and arrived in a pool of oil; the calamari was disgusting- oily, tasteless and rubbery; the salad was completely average. This place didn’t even have the traditional Greek lemon roasted potatoes.. On top of all of that, they bring you out things you haven’t ordered and sneakily add it to your bill. $100 for 2 people- huge rip off for this standard of food.   (may08 - See my reviews (2) - May, 2008)
