Visit Fishing Boat Harbour and you're guaranteed of seeing jaws in action. They will be devouring fresh snapper, juicy barramundi and freshly caught crayfish at Fremantle's funkiest restaurant:- Joe's Fish Shack.

After years of catching fish, Joe decided to cook them instead. Joe's attitude to seafood is simple. If it's not the best you can get, you won't find it on his tables.

Kids menu is also available.

"Went midweek so there was no real wait but the fish was thin and the batter was thick and loaded with grease. I used 6 serviettes to remove some of the grease. It didn't taste fresh but I may have been put off by now. My wife had tasteless, unispiring prawns. The counterhand looked grubby. Not going back there again. Wake up Joe!" more reviews

The food at joes fish shack was amazing and I loved the pasta and my husband had the prawns and we both loved both of the meals.

We were both happy with the prices and got more than enough for each serve.

I have recommended it to my mother in law,who is coming over from sydney and she said it was one of the best meals and service she has ever had.

We will definitely return to Joes, if you have not tried it then I would recommend it   (great experience - October, 2008)

Went midweek so there was no real wait but the fish was thin and the batter was thick and loaded with grease. I used 6 serviettes to remove some of the grease. It didn't taste fresh but I may have been put off by now. My wife had tasteless, unispiring prawns. The counterhand looked grubby. Not going back there again. The mussels were very nice, the 4 prawns on skewers were nice but incredibly expensive for what they were. We both had the 1 person seafood platter which the squid/octopus was dry and inedible, the fish was small and we werent informed that there was chips served with it when we ordered the chips separately. We waiting quite some time to pay our bill and when we did the lady was to busy trying to organise something in the take out area that we were completely ignored. Wont be returning that is for sure. All the reviews listed on stating things about the food is correct   (June, 2008)

Went on Mother's day-Items were dropped from the regular menu For example I ordered Joe's platter for one Got a piece of fish some salt and pepper squid The chilli i mussels was ommittedfrom the regularmenu Got ONE prawn and salad. Afar cry from the regular menu advertized Very disappointed. so is the rest of my family   (May, 2008)

I can only put the prices down to the location of the restaurant. I expected better presentation and ambience. The food was nothing special. I suggest Cicerello's next door, as the prices are better on the wallet.   (April, 2008)
