Our food reflects the cosmopolitan nature of Australia; and on a micro level, our suburb. Originally settled primarily by migrants, particularly of Mediterranean origin, Balcatta has always been somewhat of a “cultural melting pot”. Today, this has not changed, with new members of the community coming from Asian and African nations, as well as the second and third generation Australians of Mediterranean decent.

Steve Jones - Our Head Chef, Steve Jones, has a broad knowledge of Asian Fusion cuisine, particularly relating to fresh seafood. Steve has worked in the Venue from a 1st Year apprentice and has an affinity to the Seven Mile.

One of my favorite places... A very homely feeling bar/restaurant. Excellent food and extremely friendly and hospitable staff. They make a busy night look a breeze.   (June, 2008)

sunday night ribs at the 7mile is a family occasion for us. even the kids cant get enough of the ribs. congrats to glen and his team in the kitchen- never disappointed. ambience- well apart from the inappropiate music videos on the big screen (i dont like watching bump and grind clips while i eat, call me old fashioned) the ceiling above the bar could use a damn good clean. also we usually get tea light candles on the table but these are sadly missing now. the kids thought it was really a treat with lit candles to dine by.

service- okay, please just take our orders and dont stop for a chat. the waitstaff seem to think we're their mates. sure, we're regulars but the floor staff have become way too familiar. almost uncomfortable! in conclusion, yes we shall continue to dine at the 7mile simply because the food is so wonderful and great value... but the waitstaff need better training.   (June, 2008)

the food was soooo beautifully cooked, i hear a well awarded chef made it named Chrissy, well done! you will go far. the waitress was average in service, but the food certainly made up for it. The Seven Mile Inn is a great family night out. Good food, good service and reasonable value for money. The "specials" nights early in the week make dining for 2 a fairly inexpensive experience. Steaks are consistantly good, and the seafood platter is excellent.   (February, 2008)
