"Kelley's Restaurant" was Established in 1992 on the beautiful Tasman Peninsula at Stewarts Bay Port Arthur. Surrounded by Atlantic salmon fish farms, oyster leases, mussel farms, crystal clear deepwater bays and amazing scenery, beaches and surf.

Kelley's was successful from opening day by simply providing gourmet seafood, Tassie wines and friendly service. The setting provided 180° water views, it was in the 'middle of nowhere' but extremely close to Tasmania's biggest tourism draw card the "Port Arthur Historic Site" and the surrounding Bed and Breakfast, Hotels and Holiday Homes. During five years here, Kelley's were extremely busy and collected two "Australian, Gold Plate Awards" and numerous write-ups throughout the world.

In 1997 we relocated to Battery Point , Hobart's oldest waterfront 'suburb'. Kelly’s recreated the Ambiance, Service and Gourmet Seafood Dishes in the Old Sailmakers Cottage in Battery Point and have been booming along ever since.

First time at Kelly's - enjoyable evening out, good un-entrusive service.   (May, 2008)

"The small restaurant, which seats 30 to 40 people, has cultivated a fan base for its fresh, simple and stylish approach to cooking seafood...Visitors can enjoy the best Tasmania has to offer at Kelley’s – gourmet seafood, fantastic Tassie wines and friendly service...A renowned dish, the ‘accidental octopus’...is a particular local hit."

Rob O’Brien, Masters of Cuisine - January 2006
