I go there several times a month. The food is amazing and the set menus are incredibly well priced. The Decor may subtract a little from the experience but when you food arrives you will become so enraptured that you hardly notice. Service is usually prompt and staff are both polite and welcoming. Compared with other Japanese restaurants Kido is a diamond in a sea of zircons. 9.5/10   (Kido in Nedlands - See my reviews (2) - July, 2010)

Went there today for lunch. Food was nice, had lunch box which includes dessert. Was enjoying it until I discovered a piece of metal scourer embedded in my crumbed prawn. No apology received from staff. Dessert took too long to arrive so we had to leave without it, but they still charged us for it! Still no apology for the scourer when we left! Doubt I shall be going there again!   (Disappointed - January, 2010)

We just recently discovered this little gem nearby our area. Kido's is great for a midweek dinner, catching up friends, and is great for big groups as they have set menus with the quality and value for money is hard to beat in the western suburbs

Also being Byo at $1.10 per head is usually un heard of! Try the kingfish sushimi, it melts in your mouth! The tempura is light and fluffy and exactly what it should taste like!

As you can see I'm hooked on Kido's! I highly recommend it!   (silentbob - See my reviews (2) - August, 2009)

Despite the small size, or perhaps because of it, there was a feeling of traditional Japan. While the setting was good for two people a larger group would find the experience a real treat, particularly with the table-cooked dishes such as sukiaki. I will return, hopefully soon.   (March, 2008)
