  We had dined here before, so it was the first choice of my son for his birthday. The steaks are incredible - tasty, juicy, thick and cooked exactly as ordered. My medium rare Angus rump was melt-in-the-mouth! The Bearnaise sauce was divine with a hint of tarragon and the chips are extra special. The serve of French beans and broccoli was enough for the three of us. Unfortunately my summer pudding was a little disappointing, given that I make it myself. The bread was too thick and the berries too few. It really needed a big scoop of gelato to keep it company. I was really chuffed when the owner recognised me from past business at his family's other restaurants. As a result, my son received the big scoop of gelato with a sparkling candle. The prices are a bit exee, but for a great steak experience Kingley's is hard to beat.   (doctortrish - See my reviews (5) - December, 2010)

  We enjoyed the restaurant for it's secluded, off-street location and tasteful stone and woodbeam interior features of very old colonial derivation. We thought the steaks with 'jus' cooked just to our liking, rare and medium rare. The oysters "Kilpatrick", roasted garlic and chilli prawns,baked potato with sour cream, warmed bread with herbed butter, salads and wines and desert all excellent with service attentive, but not intrusive.   (Glenn - January, 2010)

  I ordered a Kangaroo Steak and requested it to be prepared 'RARE'...but, it came 'MEDIUM' I thought of sending it back but, it took ages to get the attention of the severs. Therefore, I just accepted the fact and took my steak 'MEDIUM'.

  The servers, were uncertain which plate was to be served. Made mistakes twice.......Overall, my party was not impressed with this Estb and I had to make my apologies to them.   (See my reviews (5) - May, 2009)

  My husband and I had been to the Lime Street restaurant before and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, so we decided to check out the King Street restaurant. While the building itself is beautiful and the food was excellent, there was nothing to look at, other than a couple of ribbon awards hung on the wall.
