La Vucciria

La Vucciria is a Sicilian ristorante and enoteca (wine bar) inspired by the centuries-old food market in Palermo. Straddling Sydney’s Paddington and Surry Hills areas, La Vucciria’s seasonal, ever-changing menu channels the fresh produce — vegetables, fish, meat and fruit found at the famed market in the culturally rich island of Sicily.

Devised by chef and co-founder Fabio Alacqua, who hails from Sicily, La Vucciria’s menu includes share plates for antipasti, homemade pasta, mains showcasing some of Sydney’s freshest seafood and meat, and traditional Italian desserts with a twist. A career in winemaking and distribution carved out in his native state of Western Australia, co-founder Brad Dickson oversees the Australian and Italian wines, beers and Italian aperitifs served at La Vucciria’s gray-veined marble bar.
