      very average,the service was very poor you don't come to this sort of restaurant ordering sparkling water and is not available. Cocktail was not even ordered ,eventually afer 3 reminders it arrived with entree and no finger bowls or bowls to put our scraps from our crustations. Very dissappointed.   (jackie - February, 2012)

      We had been looking forward to going to the Lagoon for several years now. We thought it didn't quite reach our expectations. The prawn sakanaki was tasteless, the sticky date was just OK. My husband ordered a cider and they brought us the wrong one- they then convinved us that the one they brought (and opened!) was a better choice. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured maybe we miscommunicated our choice- on the receipt we were billed for the one we chose so we had made no mistake. As the evening went on the floor staff walked around with a floor plan for the next day rearranging tables. It was very noisy despite the fact it was half empty, the noise being plates, kitchen noise and staff. There was one table with several children that were allowed to run around the restaurant- this was 10pm and not what we expected when we had organised a paid babysitter for our children so we could have a quiet romantic dinner.There was linned stocked in shelves along the corridor to the toilets.       I came in for my birthday with my husband and 2 children and found the atmosphere, quality of food and staff exceeded all my expectations. Our waitress went out of her way to ensure I had a lovely birthday. She even organised a sparkler as a surprise for my dessert! We arrived early and had a pre-dinner drink in the lounge bar. The bar staff helped me chose out a delicious cocktail that I will be absolutely be returning for.       I was quite disappointed in all aspects at this restaurant. After reading several reviews, I thought it would be appropriate to go and experience 'fine dining'. This was not the case, a rude hostess, a rude waitress and above all that the food was quite average. I am hoping this is an one off experience. However, I can not justify paying the money when I could of received better service, attention and experience at a fast food chain.   (Nathan - September, 2010)

      My family and I are regulars at this wonderful restaurant. It is family/child friendly, never made to feel that children are a nuisance. Service is fantastic, always more than helpful with lighting candles, cutting up our birthday cakes etc. Food great, my 1 complaint is that after many years of patronising this restaurant we would love some changes in the menu. We have tried every dish over and over and although all are delicious, some changes or new additions would be very welcome.   (Love this restaurant - July, 2010)

      Have been here for Lunch, 2 dinners and a wedding. Food and service at lunch far outweighed the dinners and wedding experiences. This could be due to less people at lunch time to serve, I don't know, But I do know this place needs to seriously listen to peoples complaints. There seems to be a lacking in professionalism in every aspect from quality and presentation of food, service and even knowing their wines. Its a real pity, this place could really be something. COME ON LAGOON show us you can be No1.   (Elaine - January, 2009)

      Very enjoyable. Have been twice and planning third visit shortly, this time for an evening rather than lunch. Only downside for us is that with all the wood floor, etc, it is very noisy for a person with a hearing aid (my wife). However, that is not a complaint, just an observation. It wont stop us from returning. And we live near Penrith, drive down for a meal.

      The food is lovely but my fiance and I order the same dish every time - King Island chicken, as we are not seafood eaters - and it changes each time, sometimes the plate is covered in food, sometimes there is barely anything on it. Accompanying vegetables changes too. It's a little annoying, as is the constant "And how is your food tonight?" which we usually get asked about five times during dinner. The location is wonderful, the food tastes fantastic, but the waiters are a little too attentive and if you like consistency this isn't the place to go. 3.5/5   (Lagoon Restaurant Review - July, 2008)

      Excessive communication by your company beacause this birthdasy dinner was to be a surprise birthday but 3 emails and one telephone call did not allow this to be a surprise. Management were spoken to at the restaurant during the evening expressing our dissapointment and dissatisfaction as to the level of competance of your booking company.   (June, 2008)

      The Lagoon resturant is a very professional resturant. The service is fantastic as there are always staff around to assist . The only fault I would say is my main meal wan't very hot. I like my foot really hot and it was only warm. Having said that I did enjoy what I had and it was cooked very well   (April, 2008)

      We arrived earlier than our booking time but our table was ready for us. Due to high demand staff informed us our meal would take longer than usual to prepare and apologised for the delay. Staff were efficient and courteous.   (January, 2008)

      On our previous visit my husband's meal was excellent, my veal was tough as, but the service was great, unfaultable. This time my family and I left in disgust. Our drinks that we asked for 4 times finally arrived 35 minutes later, the waitress clearly unimpressed when I informed her the order was wrong. Whilst waiting for our mains, 3 different waiters came to our table with someone elses drinks and 1 with someone elses entrees. 1hr and 45 mins later our mains had not arrived, nor were they on the servery waiting to be delivered. We walked out. My only regret is I didn't stop to tip the lovely waiter who tried his best to rectifly the numerous stuff ups. PS. They shouldn't have taken Mak's comment so seriously   (Bronnie - December, 2007)

      On our previous visit my husbands meal was excellent, my veal was tough as, but, the service so good, unfaultable. This time, my family and I left in discuss. In the meantime 3 different waiters tried to give us someone elses drinks. Waited 1hr and 45mins for mains that still didn't arrive. Walked out, no apology offered, wont be back.
