A great setting and beautiful food. Loved the duck risotto. The size of the meals was generous, and lemon tart was perfect. The service was cheerful and prompt.

I have read a number of unfavourable reviews of this restaurant which made me wonder whether it was a good choice for a birthday celebration. I ca honestly say, however, that I favourable impressed. My wife and i chose the special, barramundi, which was cooked to perfection and nicely presented. If there was one complaint about this dish it would be that the one piece of barramundi was a little less than we would have liked. Others had the fish and chips which was equally well prepared. Service was excellant but I felt that the choice of wines was somewhat restrictive. The location is, of course, superb provided you are not wearing high heels for the long walk out on the jetty (as my wife was).

Of course the location is great for catching a 'St Kilda Sunset' dinner, and that is what attracted us. The food was surprisingly good, if not a bit over-priced, but maybe I can accept that because of the location. Unfortunately, service (if I can call it that?) was absolutely appauling (to the point of being rude!). Eight of went for dinner and we all could not beleive the way we were treated! Compliments to the Chef, but if you emply front of house staff like this we will never be back!
