The restaurant has changed hands since we were in Narooma a year ago, it's now a French restaurant. Snails were available from October 10th, what a shame we were there on the 2nd. We had a meal to remember. Entree of fresh local oysters followed by lamb cutlets. The garlic-flavoured lamb was tender, the beans were the best I have ever eaten, they must grow these out the back, and the roasted potatoes with pumpkin mash were done to perfection and loaded with flavour. A bottle of Tasmanian pinot gris at a very reasonable $32 topped off an excellent meal.

When the desert list came out and it was one whole page, I just knew that this way OUR kind of restaurant. I had fresh mango and pear laid out on a bed of creme fraise dusted with nutmeg. I don't know what it was called on the menu, but hunt it down, it was a perfect balance to the meal, not too sweet, just a nice finale to a memorable dinner. If you visit Narooma or anywhere nearby, I highly recommend you should eat at this place. It was the highlight of our weekend.   (bigears - October, 2010)
