    I thought this was pretty average. The curries were very greasy and there was not much meat in them. Samosa was exceptionally greasy and soggy. I'm glad I tried but will be returning to our regular place.   (Judy - See my reviews (17) - December, 2012)

    Food was great. The value is what you'd expect; I find that most Indian restaurants seem a little expensive.

    Great food, we had Lamb Rogan Josh and Butter chicken plus sides. Wonderful flavours although could have done with a little bit more meat.

    Placed order 20 minutes ago and still haven't received sms. Rang restaurant to confirm order had been received, it had, I think. The confirmation code didn't mean much, "how much was order??, what address?? About 30 min" Stay tuned for next installment on food review. DM

    The last two times I have ordered, I have had to ring and ask about delivery as the confirmation text had not arrived (waited half hour before ringing), to be told they had my order and would be delivered in 15-20 minutes. Only to receive confirmation text once hanging up saying delivery was due in 40 minutes. Then waited 50 minutes before food arrived.       I am from Ludhiana Punjab and there also used to eat out frequently. Here around in Adelaide tried many,but not up to the mark,some have given me stomach trouble with their bad food.This joint got from me Excellent for quality food, ambience like any good restaurant, service better than any.I take the food here as perfect, true Indian ethnic food.I usually take Butter Chicken, Seekh Kabab, Garlic/Cheese Naans followed by Gulab Jamun.Whenever I think of eating good food this restaurant comes first, for Excellence.   (Jaslaide - See my reviews (2) - January, 2010)

      By living away at Port Lincoln i could not order for service at home,which I wish I could.Never tasted such a fantastic food in Adelaide.I always start with Prawn Pakora or Tandoori Neha, followed by main course-Butter Chicken or Sea food Biryani,Garlic Naans or Cheese Naans along with my choice of wine.Then a grand finish with Gulaab Jamun said to be specially invented for the Royal Queen of England when she visited Calcutta the then Capital of the British India.Other plus point is the quick elegant service in a real Adelaida structured atmosphere.Whenever I visit the city , I am literally drawn to the Maharajah's Indian Restaurant just like a magnet and iron..big portions and my appetite, value for money, plus satisfaction.I return home fully content, no exaggeration.   (speculate7 - See my reviews (15) - January, 2010)

      We ordered a banquet (2 for dinner) and were surprised at the great value for money. There was a fantastic variety of dishes all presented very nicely in beautiful decorated bowls and platters. The service staff were very polite. As for the food, the butter chicken and naan bread were exceptional though the beef korma was a little over cooked. Overall the experience was very good.

      I have been going to this restaurant for many years and I have yet to be disappointed. They have anything you are hungry for. The food and service are both awesome.       we had the amazing Indian experience. the decor in the restaurant is inviting, it was completely booked on the Saturday night, we were lucky we had the booking, people were lining out for the table.

      the menu is well priced and gives you value for the money.

      service was prompt and fast, everything tasted delicious.

      Firstly, We ordered some papaddam and it came stale.

      We found the kid's meal small 4 small piece of chicken, a papaddam and a small serve of rice for $10.00 was expensive.

      We have asked for medium hot for my fish curry and it came out really mild which was quite disappointing for me. When i paid for the meal then they mention that they have a scale of spicy rating from 1 to 10. Which was not mentioned when we ordered the food.

      An enjoyable evening out. We (3 0f us) had the cheapest of the 3 banquets on offer. All the food was quite mild so if you like it with some heat it may pay to ask. Our "raita" didn't come out until we asked, by which time we were half way through our meal. Will return.
