    Meltemi Greek tavern "sea breeze" is the next best thing to the Greek islands offering a traditional island feel accompanied by traditional home made meals. Lamb on the charcoal spit, fresh seafood and meats cooked on charcoal is what gives Meltemi the aroma of its traditional flavours. We have been in the restaurant industry for over 16 years. We were also the original owners of 'Paradise of Lindos - Greek Restaurant" in North essendon, which we operated for 12 years straight. We look forward to bringing back what the locals have learnt to love about our cuisine, great value for money & great service... We hope to see you soon @ Meltemi. :)

      As always, and absolute delight. Meltemi never fails to deliver tasty food accompanied by great service. Despite it being a busy night and being 3 waiters down, Antony and Betty maintained fast efficient and friendly service and fed their patrons in a timely manor. We enjoyed the Meltemi Banquet menu, which was more than enough for the 4 of us, without being wasteful. Calamari and lamb to die for followed what would have to be some of the best Saganaki in Melbourne. Thanks again guys, can't wait to come back. Adam and Leni.   (Adam Moodie - March, 2011)

      We had a lovely dining experience. We were the first to arrive and within an hour the restaurant was really going. To me that says something and that was certainly backed up by excellent food. We had the $38 menu and struggled to finish. The dips were fresh and outstanding. The meats were great and finished off with coffee and freshly made greek doughnuts!!! YUM! Anthony and his wait staff were very friendly and we will be going back again with the kids soon. Highly recommended!!   (September, 2010)

      This restaurant was lovely, the staff were very tentative and friendly, and love the family feeling we got... Food was quite nice, and the prices were pretty reasonable, wlil definitely go back again and recommend to others.   (July, 2010)

      My husband and i enjoyed a banquet for two @ Meltemi Moonee Ponds for $25.00 each.

      The food was plentiful and fresh, the service was wonderful.The best saganaki we have both ever tasted.

      We both highly recommend others to enjoy the same experience. We will definately be returning.

      We had the banquet for two special, $25 a person.

      There was heaps of great tasting food, enough for lunch the next day to.

      The service was polite and prompt.
