Owners Joseph Vargetto and Silvio Sgarioto are reaffirming Mezzo's Sicilian identity with a dining ethos that celebrates the culinary crossroads of Italy's 'abundant isle'.

For Joseph, it is about working in an environment that allows a direct expression of his love for Sicilian food. “I’m keen to create and share the type of food I grew up with that I absolutely adore. There are many similarities in climate between Sicily and Australia, so it’s the perfect cuisine with which to utilise this country’s abundant seasonal produce,” believes Joe.

The menu includes a range of delicious southern Italian fare, from stuzzichini to house-made pastas, grills and sweet delights including tiramisu - made to Nonna's strict specifications.
