I guess I should have read the review before going there. The main dishes start at $40 (salad) from there $10 increments to about $95. I expected a quiet place to chat with my friend. You have to order a set dish per seat or a dish and something else.Basically its impossible to order only what you prefer to have yet the cooking is done on a hotplate and you sit shoulder to shoulder with strangers. The chef spends more time showing his juggling skills than cooking, always clanging the skillet on the hotplate, very annoying.Steak was good. Not worth the $112 bill which included three lemon , lime and bitters drinks. I wont be going back though those who enjoy having the Chef doing rapid fire with chopped bits of fried egg into customers open mouths may not mind the Circus enviroment. I tend to be annoyed at blatant waste of food when children starve in the world. Obviously some read the blogs as there was a lot of empty seats.   (Gumnutts - November, 2011)

Went to the restraunt with three friends and were seated in a line of four seats; not good for conversation and sat across from people we did not now.

Chef was pleasant but did not display the showmanship other chefs in the place did.

Food was well cooked but serves are VERY small for price$$$; one off experience would not go back.   (Diego - April, 2010)

We went to Midori for a birthday dinner. None of the party had been there before and loved Japanese food, and the idea of teppanyaki sounded like a fun idea.

The chef put on a good show, but the quality of the food and the amount was very average. Overpriced and disappointing.   (silentbob - See my reviews (2) - August, 2009)
