When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that our reservation had been cancelled (which it had not been). We were then given a table right near the front door and till so it was very busy, even though there were quieter areas available. Unfortunately for us it was "kids eat free night" so children were running around everywhere, and it was very noisy; not ideal for my aging grandparents who we were dining with. However, the meals were lovely (except for the overdone kilpatrick oysters) and value for money was excellent. Costing around $20 per person for a meal that was huge (most of us couldn't finish). I would probably not go back with elderly people because it was just too loud, but would probably return with a group of friends as it is more suited for a younger age group.   (November, 2008)

Would mark higher on service but there is no table service. Meals are ordered at the counter. However, this is reflected in the prices. Very reasonable.

I am a chef and this is now my fave eating place when i am not at my own establishment. Could fault nothing wrong with my meal. When Silvie is in the kitchen you are in for a treat. Perfect.   (August, 2008)
