Great vegetarian 5 course meal, although agree the lemon sourdough bread very strange! The flavours of the 5 courses were really special and the service faultless....except nobody to see us leave after a large amount of money spent, small detail but important to return customers. Would highly recommend for special occasion.   (Snoepje - May, 2012)

Service at NuNu was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Our orders were taken promptly and drinks arrived very quickly.

The complimentary "lemon and salt" bread was a strange and unappetising product - deep fried, overcooked outside, with a thin layer of soggy dough inside, draped with thin slices of cooked lemon and greasy tasting. I overheard another table being told that it was sourdough bread fried in olive oil, and we adore olive oil but did not find the flavour of this oil good at all. We had a nibble of it and then pushed it aside, and looking aroud the room I saw that most other diners had done the same.

We both ordered the "Head to Tail" alpine goat dish ($41), which unfortunately suffered from being completely tepid. The tiny cutlet was overcooked but still tasty. The rolled saddle piece was surrounded by a strip of fat almost too tough to cut and too tough to chew. There were three small slices of roast leg meat that were tender, slightly pink and delicious, and two short, fat little sausages that were strongly flavoured with fennel and delicious. The menu states only that this dish comes with "sauce" and the sauce turned out to be a rich, dark, delicious one. The other elements of this dish were (raw) baby radishes, a sprinkling of microherbs and a delicious garlic custard. The custard was the highlight of the dish for me - very smooth and creamy, very garlicky, but I still feel it would have been even better warm. None of the dishes on NuNu's menu come with any accompaniments so we ordered a bowl of handcut chips to share. The chips were perfect - lightly golden, crunchy outside and fluffy inside - but we felt that for $8 the serve of 10 chips was a little small.

Overall, we had a pleasant meal but expected a little more given NuNu's excellent reputation.   (raspberries - September, 2010)

My husband and I have travelled extensively

We were advised that Nu Nu was very good.

Unfortunately we were both dissapointed with

the quality of the so called organic food, its

presentation and the service was atrocious.

Nu Nu is totally overated and over priced.

Amazing meals. The atention to detail when the staff describe each meal to you before you eat it, eg. how it's cooked, where the produce is from, etc, is outstanding. A little slow at times with the service between courses, but a wonderful experience all round.   (November, 2007)

I dined at Nu Nu for my birthday last year, the meal was without doubt one of the best I have ever had anywhere in the world. We opted for the tasting menu and had a number of dietary restrictions which seemed to challenge Nick & his kitchen team, not only did they rise to the occasion but they absolutely blew us away with the creativity, finesse and daring of each and every dish. The outstanding food was equally complimented by an incredibly passionate, knowledgeable and discreet crew on the floor, and a wine list that made my head spin with choices. We have since enjoyed breakfast, lunch and many coffees at Nu Nu, on each of these occasions, the food, service, and ambience has been consistently high and always exceeds expectation, to top it all of the crew there are really great with our kids too. I can't say enough to compliment the team there and thank them for every slice of indulgence that my family and I have ever had there. Thanks Guys!!!!!!!   (Frank - February, 2007)
