      The food was lovely, if not a little too pricey. Service was ok, but attention to detail not great. We witnessed a table cloth blowing off one of the unset tables onto the floor and it stayed there for at least 20 min before anyone picked it up, (and everyone saw it) and then in was placed back on the table, a new one was not got. View is spectacular but dont think the rating is deserved here. Would go back again and give it another try but with hesitation.   (Jinglebells - See my reviews (4) - August, 2010)

      We've experienced On the Inlet regularly over the past 5 years during holidays and under different "management". We have visited during lunch periods but mainly in the evening hours. Fantastic venue ANY time of the day. Food can be out of this world or mediocre...service and then value therefore the same. Not sure I would be carving my way back for another visit but...maybe the good experiences outway the bad??   (blondini1 - See my reviews (6) - June, 2008)

      Hi, I was up in port douglas with my wife a few weeks ago - you probably remember me - you had a wedding on and you took and 1.5hrs to bring us our food. Just thought I would put some comments on to ensure that other people do not make same mistake we did. Go visit the Watergate - brilliant resturant and intersting to note they advised us that may customers have simply walked out of your so called 5 star dining experience due to the same problems and walked into the Watergate. By the way food was ok - when it finally came out.   (The Champ is here - See my reviews (12) - April, 2008)

      The food was fresh, the sevice and table position was great, enjoyed the night , my partner enjoyed all three courses, my main choice - coral trout , yogurt dressing and what looked like coleslaw was very ordinary. Entree was fine, dessert was fine. We would go back again.   (December, 2007)
