Enjoyed being able to order yum cha a la carte. Food was delicious and timely and extremely good value for money. Service was generally quick and efficient, with just a couple of requests needing to be made twice. An enjoyable, quick meal.   (October, 2008)

Venue was great and the tea selection was EXCELLENT! Food varied in terms of taste, and was pricey for what you got especially in comparison to good Chinese restaurants in ChinaTown. The noodles were the best thing on the menu, but priced at $13.90 and only two veggies with no meat, this was very expensive. No doubt one of the very best for freshness and excellent quality and service - this restaurant in Chapel street I feel is better than it's counterpart in the City....favourite dish Steak and honey peppered beef, shredded beef, all dim sum - excellent!!!! Staff are also very friendly, champagne by the glass is always cold fresh with lots bubbles served in lovely glasses!!   (September, 2008)

I've had one of the best dim sums in Melbourne at Oriental Teahouse. The menu might not be extensive; but by focusing on the quality of its dishes, Oriental has proven a smaller spread trumps careless quantity every time. Some notable dishes include Shanghai dumplings, spicy eggplant, and pork dumplings. The specialty tea is as well a novel experience and wonderful accompaniment to the dishes.   (delectable - See my reviews (2) - May, 2007)

Lovely fresh yum cha in an impersonal atmosphere with very average service. We paid double for our experience here than we would have for shark fin inn, our usual haunt. Our order was mixed up on several fronts and one dish sat in the kitchen so long it was cold by the time we got it. I would recomend it for one or two people wanting a modest amount to eat.
