The team claims to set standards here in Launceston, Australia and to tell their esteemed patrons that what is the richness behind our culture and flavors. This Indian restaurant is dedicated to serving authentic Indian Food which will take you straight to the land where it is born. The authentic Indian food on our menu is made with the use of aromatic Indian spices which are the essence of Indian cuisine. PickledEvenings has carved out a niche for itself by not only its fine dining but also through its great service, catering and takeaway service.

Large groups information

The restaurant has to floors and both the floors can be arranges for private parties. The downstair section can hold between 30-35 people easily and the upstairs can hold upto 55 people.

We do have a Fixed Menu for bigger groups which is available at www.pickledevenings.com.au

For Bookings above 20, a credit card number if required to secure the booking..

Very enjoyable evening. The restaurant was easy to find, and quite pleasant. We had the banquet and all tried a few new dishes which was fun. The bread was hot and very yummy. The wine selection was good, and the staff were all very polite and discrete. (February, 2010)

nice food, very nice service, was bit slow but i could see this happling on a saturday night when the restaurant was fully booked. It was totally a different exp all togather. Above what we expected.. Good work, we will go back again (Adam R - See my reviews (2) - June, 2008)

Amasing night, we never expected what we saw inside, when you go in an Indian restaurant you know it vont be that classy but it was nice and relaxing, music was very good, food and service also very nice, we will be back.. (Adam R - See my reviews (2) - June, 2008)

We went with the banquet option. Minor changes were successfully negotiated to the satisfaction of the guests. One guest with experience of Indian food in India recommended the food as "the best Indian food I have experienced in Australia". (May, 2008)

When we first arrived and asked if for a table the lovely young waitress went to check, she did not return, instead a yound man came and said she is new here can I help you. That is an appalling way to tallk about staff. Food was average, the newspaper style was silly, all those pages with parts of the menu on different pages and the rest filled with news, you do not go out for dinner to read the newpaper. We were seated in the undercover area, they attempted to light the gas heater, it went out and I asked if they would be relighting it and was told that gas was leaking out of the jet, so no heater, we froze. The lighting was also very poor unless you were sitting underneath the one light, then of course it was much easier to read the menu. There was also a sliding door to the covered area and it was constantly sticking so the waiting staff could not get throught with dishes. I had to ask if we could have a serviette. Our table was to small to accommodate our drinks and meal so they dragged another over, this had a uneven leg. We thought the staff could definity be trained better and fix that door for goodness sake. (anne m - See my reviews (48) - May, 2008)

Food was well presented and there were good sized servings. Two people in our group didnt like the newspaper style menu (I liked it- they would prefer it to be all one one sheet for easy reference. Otherwise it was a good evening out and good value for money. (March, 2008)
