About Pizza Capers - Waverley

The year was 1996 and at the time the convenience food market was overflowing with cheap and nasty 'junk' food. There was a real need for change, and it came from the relaxed and leafy suburb of Kenmore in Brisbane's west – the location of the very first Pizza Capers kitchen.

We wanted to give the people of Brisbane the chance to enjoy an interesting and varied menu, with pizza made using only fresh restaurant quality and wholesome ingredients.

It was a hit. We were a standout, and as word spread the store got busy… Really busy.

After the first year in market a second store was opened in the inner Brisbane suburb of Toowong. Just like our first kitchen in Kenmore, the Toowong store struck a similar chord with the locals.

For the next few years we knuckled down and further developed the menu, concepts and systems. By 2002, with solid foundations built, we added more stores to our growing family – and as 2005 came around we had a dozen kitchens under the Pizza Capers flag.

2005 was also an exciting moment for all those involved and an important milestone for the Pizza Capers brand. With demand and popularity for our pizzas continuing to grow, we welcomed our first franchisees to help open more stores to satisfy the many mouths wanting Capers.

After many years of providing the best tasting pizza in town, Pizza Capers is still owned and managed by our founders, Anthony Russo & Scott Geiszler, their families, and the franchisee partners.

Staying true to our roots of delighting each customers with a truly gourmet experience, the group is now over 100 stores strong, with stores throughout Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and the ACT. Pizza Capers has even been impressing overseas, with our first store in Singapore open and further plans to expand throughout Asia.

How your order is processed:

  1. Your order is transmitted to this restaurant the instant you submit your order,

    We have never ordered from Pizza Capers and we thought the pizzas were great. The flavour was very nice.

    The pizza sizes are quite small, we ordered 3 "regular/medium" they are actually small sizes. Lucky we were not super hungry...

    The major downside was that the company actually charges for delivery! $6 to have them delivered. Very disapointing. If we did not get the 20% off deal, I would have not ordered.

    The delivery time was about an hour, which I think is pretty fast on a Saturday night.

    The main question, would I order again? Maybe, I would love to eat the pizza, but, I will not pay for delivery again and will not order regular (only large)   (Adam - See my reviews (2) - June, 2012)

    I ordered a pizza over the phone and when I got there they couldn't find my order. I had to wait 20 minutes but it was worth the wait. The pizzas are gourmet and extremely delicious. I ordered a seafood pizza and it was the BEST pizza I have ever had. Very crispy dough, and not soggy at all. Tasted just as great the next day. I highly recommend this restaurant.
