We visited more than 15 years ago when 'Polly' was the owner,and it was great then.

Today, the female owner of 5 years is just as charming and friendly,as are all the staff.

Set in a tranquil bush setting,looking down to a small creek with turtles and catfish,we enjoyed the ambience,and although we only went for morning tea and the fresh baked scones (which are the best we have ever tasted),we stayed on for lunch,taking a walk down to the creek and around the grounds while we waited until the time was closer to noon.

The food was terrific,and being licensed one can have a glass of wine or a glass of cold beer,although we settled for iced coffees and tea.

Whether local or just in the area,this is a 'must'to visit.We are now regular visitors as we live on the Gold Coast.

Only open Friday,Saturday and Sunday, no bookings required-unless you decide to see the New Year in.   (David and party of four - November, 2011)

We happened to drop in to Polly's on our way to Springbrook National Park. We were stunned to find such a wonderful spot out in the hills!

The road to Springbrook was actually closed on this day - with a sign stating this many km previous. So expecting close to zero customers, Polly's was staffed by a single person (Polly?). But the physical road barrier wasn't found until - you guessed it - right next to Polly's. Resulting in lots of people doing as we did and dropping in for a cuppa instead of continuing to Springbrook.

We were informed up front that there'd be a wait but that wasn't a problem and turned out to be minimal. The personal service was appreciated and the food worth the wait.

While we waited we were able to take in the stunning views. It's a very special place - carved out of the bush with expansive lawned grounds leading to a (rather swollen) creek with awesome trees all 'round.

Could be a lot better with little more effort in prentation, kitchen seems to be too smal to cater for crowd. Toasting your burger buns would give them more appeal, The potato chips dominate the plate a smaller serve would be much better, try a little harder and reap the rewards and reviews.

We have eaten here several times and have found the staff and service to be very good. The food is very nice and is reasonably priced. The setting is very pleasant with a nice outlook.   (Noel & Debbie - January, 2009)

this food was not to my satisfaction and i thought it was rip-off with a capital R and personally i would not recommend you to anybody i know.....
