    Awesome find. My partner and I order Indian at least once a week, and this place is fantastic. The chicken Jalfrezi is probably my favourite Indian dish of all time - and I've only ever eaten it from here. Usually you are able to predict what you're getting (flavour wise) with regards to Indian food, but this dish literally blew me away.     Pretty good for our first time from Punjabi. Meals were of decent portions... We had leftovers for another day and the taste was definitely authentic as well. Delivery came on time so nothing much for our happy bellies to complain about. Will order again :)   (May, 2013)

    Picked this restaurant because it was first on the list. My first and last mistake. I should have read the reviews first. It took an hour to cook/deliver food to an address 2 kms away on a Wednesday night (although at least the text message informing me that was accurate, but too late i had paid!) The paratha's were totally black on one side. The curries were ok. Not great but not bad.   (Emma - May, 2013)

    Best Indian food in the inner east - have tried just about all the options on menulog. Consistently good, generous portions, usually takes about an hour to arrive from ordering - well worth the wait.     Everytime I order from Punjabi they do something wrong. Either forgetting a comestible, bringing me the wrong food, arriving 30 minutes late, there seems to be no consistency with them. And they NEVER make the food spicy as I always request. But, the fact that I keep going back to them is saying something at the very least. I just ordered now and it arrived without papadums because they had run out, a phone call would have been appreciated so I could've had the chance to order something else.   (Fa - April, 2013)

    Lamb Briyani was fantastic, generous portions for the price.

    Pistachio Ice cream was good and better than expected.

    Mango Lassi was not bad, worth trying.

    Had the chicken Biryani and Onion Bhaji - The biryani was generous for the price and the bhaji delicious, albeit slightly cold - it should be noted however that I live a reasonable distance from the location, and it is inevitable that food chills a little in transit when I order.

    The delivery took a bit on an hour, which is on par with Dominos for the time period and reasonably good   (Adam - See my reviews (3) - March, 2013)

    just received my food... first off no cutlery or tissues provided had to go looking for a fork at 11.00 pm leaving my work. lamb was undercooked and spicy salad had no spice AT ALL. im a regular customer but feel veryy dissapointed.   (Pratik - March, 2013)

    lamb madras is what i went for,the lamb was really good it was nice and tender and the sauce was nice as well.i went for the rice with the peas in it but regretted that as the peas were not fresh and gave it a funny taste.all in all pretty decent....   (Chris - January, 2013)

      This restaurant exceeded my - already high expectations (having read other reviews). The food was exceptionally flavoursome and authentic, the decor and surroundings were charming and the service was exceptionally prompt and attentive.
