Since 1979, Rigoni’s Bistro has been serving up the best of Italian food in a relaxed bistro atmosphere, with great service and superb wines. Our bistro is a unique Adelaide dining institution, still serving the classic Italian dishes that made Rigoni’s famous, along with modern Italian inspired cuisine. Conveniently situated in historic Leigh Street, Rigoni’s is just a short walk from most major hotels and close to central CBD businesses.
Rigoni’s has been the favourite haunt of business, politicians, theatre goers, locals and visitors for breakfast, lunch and dinner over the years.
Lunch at Rigoni’s is an institution. We’re Adelaide’s original business lunch haunt, and are ideal for a simple meal at the bar, or a leisurely long business lunch.
Dinner has always been a favourite for local businesses, our local hotel guests, pre-theatre dining or celebrations; from lone diners who feel comfortable at the bar, to large groups in our private dining room. Dinner at Rigoni’s is relaxed but smart, with welcoming, professional service, a constantly changing boutique wines list, and a menu of Italian inspired dishes to suit all tastes.
In October 2010 Rigoni’s was awarded 'Best Breakfast Restaurant’ in Australia at the National Restaurant & Catering Awards held in Melbourne. They also boast the award for ‘Best Informal Dining’, 3 years running, 2008, 2009 & 2010. In 2011 Rigoni’s will be inducted into the Restaurant & Catering Hall of Fame.
Rigonis is now available for private functions and special events.

Exquisite food! Went there for lunch and had the snapper - mouth watering. Great service, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Can't ask for much more!
Rigoni's is great for lunch and dinner and now that they're doing breakfast you're guaranteed great meals all day long. Love the massive bowls of coffee that you can order.

Tony Bailey - Born in NZ’s South Island I immigrated to Australia in 1996. I settled in Port Douglas and spent the next 5 years working at the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas-the resorts only 5 star hotel back then! I then worked my south to Melbourne and landed a casual position as a chef at the Windsor Hotel- Australia’s oldest operating hotel. I was promoted to sous chef and spent the next 12 months working under one of Melbourne’s leading chefs Tom Milligan. After a gruelling 12 months I moved back to Port Douglas (I needed to relax a bit!!) and found a job at the multi award winning Salsa Bar & Grill. It was here that I worked with Aaron Martin and his wife Sharvaun for the first time. After 4 seasons of building a fresh team every season (most of the chefs tend to leave after one year) my girlfriend and I decided to move to Tasmania for a look. We spent 2 years there, bought a house and opened a 5 star hotel- Tasmania’s first- the Cornwall Boutique Hotel- now known as the Sebel Launceston. It was while there that we got the phone call form Aaron & Sharvaun Martin (our now business partners and close friends) and we moved to Adelaide- the rest as they say is history…..
We can cater for groups of up to 36 people in our private dining room. These can be on preorder ala carte, set menu or limited choice; all while giving you the impression you are the only person at the restaurant! Ideal for wine tastings, birthdays or anywhere that you need some privacy!

Group cancellation policy Cancellations within 3 days of the function date will mean client will forfeit the deposit held.
Any reckless damage or breakages by patron are the responsibility of the patron and will be added to the total bill.
