"The food is wonderful and the ambience lovely. The daily menu has a great selection of local produce. We recommend the Noosa Spanner Crabs, they are delicious! Try catching the Ferry to the River House."
"Last time quite a few items had the same ingredients which made the menu read a bit flat. We have eaten better there on previous occasions. Maybe the recent sale has made them lose focus. Hoping for more next time." more reviews

We have been to the Riverhouse a number of times in the past when on holiday. Our experience this time was not as enjoyable as things had changed. My wife had the lamb which was prepared and present well. I had the Kingfish which as dissappointing as it was overcooked and dry. This is inexcusable. The biggest surprise was the $12 corkage, which is really over the top as it exceeds even Sydney corkage rates. The wine list was expensive - a glass of ordinary WA white costing $12, which again, is more than Sydney. A good bottle of white started around $40. Service awas good and attentive, but that is the minimum one expects today. For an establishment charging these prices one expects a superlative dining experience, which it fails to deliver. This is the second time that I've been to the restaurant since 3 years ago. The interior still looks as good. Food is just as good. Love the touch of the tomato water, which is an original, never tried this elsewhere. Will visit again next time in Noosa. I've never had a better meal anywhere than what I have here. I'm a local, but I'm still prepared to pay the tourist prices because its so good! (Emma - February, 2007) Overall 10 - Food 10, Ambience 10, Value 10, Service 10
