    In amongst this beauty is the Riverbend Restaurant which is in itself a highlight of any visit, with our renowned chefs producing high quality modern Australian cuisine.

    We buy many of our ingredients from local suppliers to obtain the freshest and finest seasonal produce available.

    To complement your food we offer an interesting and affordable wine list of predominantly Australian wines.

      Booked through this website but the reservation couldn't be found on site (could be the restaurant's fault, but who knows). The food was as a whole above average. Ingredients were very fresh and preparation was thoughtful. The tiger prawns in the entree were excellent. Chicken for the main was over cooked. (Well, for some reasons, they tend to over cook chicken in Australia). I would not mind going back and stay away from the chicken but it takes a while to get there.   (See my reviews (2) - January, 2011)

      on behalf of the Watson, Williams, Barton, Linclon & Nixon people that just stayed at your Restort......we would all like to give a massive thankyou for our weekend away. We could not have had a better time away.

      From the time we started booking this you all made it so easy. Nothing was every too much trouble. Excellent customer service from the start.

      The service everywhere at the Restort was fantastic to say the least. The ladies that did our rooms, Lisa & Jackie at Reception, the Restaurant manager on Sunday night, the Chef that cooked our special family dinner on Sunday night was outstanding, the food & the cake that I had ordered that was made by the other Chef was outstanding. And also want to mention the breakfast supervisor that was on both mornings...she also made it easy & relaxed.

      We all had a wonderful time at your Resort....will be back again & recommend you to everybody.

      We experienced the Retreat for a birthday party - the buffet meal was lovely, with enough food for everyone - not like other places where the last person gets nothing!

      Staff were friendly - could have slightly better wine knowledge, but now I'm being picky!!

      Overall a wonderful experience - would thoroughly recommend to other diners.   (Pippa - July, 2009)

      I just want to say we had a fantastic weekend at the Wiseman's Ferry Retreat.

      From the lovely pool lady to the reception people, to the restaurant staff (especially April) everyone was friendly and helpful. We'll be back again before Christmas and I would take a bet that just about everyone in our group will organise their own group function there before too long...

      Thanks again it was a very memorable 50th at Wiseman's Retreat.

      We had a sensational Mother's Day meal! The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the decor was lovely - I particularly liked the vase of flowers on each table + a nice view out to the golf course. The food was amazing - all three courses were well presented and delicious, and in particular I recommend the lamb shanks!! Well priced as well. We had a fantastic time : )   (Amber - May, 2009)

    Kathryn Beff - Our Executive Chef Kathryn Beff commenced at Riverbend in January 2012. Since then she has transformed the Riverbend menu to fresh seasonal al a carte, with everything from classic slow cooked Italian style braises to the Australian favorite beer battered fish and chips. Kathryn has a cooking career spanning 12 years, working in a range of fine dining restaurants within hotels, most notably the Iconic Hydro Majestic Hotel, Blue Mountains, as well as cafés, private clubs, gastro Pubs, and boutique food production at Cookie Couture, Sydney. Kathryn’s food philosophy is keep it simple, with so much amazing produce so readily available now it’s easy to get lost in food hype and “masterchef” but you can’t go wrong if you stick to classic combinations and methods of cooking.
