Romano's Italian Restaurant

  A small nice authentic Italian resurant with a well sized menu and a good atmosphere. 

  The entree came relatively fast and was of a decent standard, similar to what you would expect in a small authentic restaurant. 

  After a good 1 hr for our entree dishes to be picked up, and another long 30 minutes for our main, we could conclude that the service was not up to scratch. 

  However the main course was of decent standard, but with a few under cooked vegetables and a salad that does not fit its bill our meal was going a bit downhill. 

  With an average sorbet in an out of fashion dish tin holder, our meal ended at a note significantly lower that when we started. 

  Overall Romano Italian restaurant is a small authentic Italian restaurant that could be improved in many ways. With good service practices and an improvement on the quality of the food they produce, this restaurant could be much better. I probably would not be coming back but wish good luck for the future of the restaurant.    (Room for Improvement - December, 2011)

  i was in for dinner on the last night of my stay on the island just 2 weeks ago, and the experience rates highly amongst my favorite memories of my entire visit. although quite far from my usual place of residence i will look forward to returning...... annually at least.

  This was a lovely experience - on a hot summer's night sitting outside with a cool breeze with wonderful food and service. The value for money was excellent as servings were on the large size and just delicious. Will be returning.   (See my reviews (4) - January, 2009)

  My first time at Romano's.It was pleasant,relaxed.Soft unobtrusive music was playing.I ordered Fillet of beef with Romano sauce.Wonderful food.Would recommend this restaurant to friends.I would go there again.   (See my reviews (3) - November, 2008)

  My wife and I visited Romano,s again, 6 weeks after our last visit (Revue, This has been etc.) Again we could not fault the service and our choice of menu. As the previous comment, "we are not big eaters", we are not big eaters either. We selected 2 entees each and 1 desert each. We found this to be more than ample. Each entree was cooked and presented to perfection and the desert was excellent.

  The only negative thing about Romano's in our situation is the location. Coming from Gosford, it is a long way for a great dinner.   (March, 2008)

  I have been going to this restaurant from years with my family. Food is so good ,service is great. I love the music and atmosphere. Portions are so big plus a seprate plate of vegetables comes with it. Highl recommend.   (February, 2008)

  This has been one of the best, if not the best Italian dinner experience we have had. The food was excellent, the service was great and on the whole, the Romano Italian Restaurant is great value for quality and service.   A normal night in the suburbs - reasonable food at a reasonable price. some eclectic menu choices for an italian restaurant with the stand out being the duck in orange sauce. wine menu not extensive but you'll find something good in the italian section.   (August, 2007)
