went to Roulettes Tavern last night and was disappointed the wait staff were rude and not children friendly the children menu was overpriced, all the meals were overcooked and we had a large variety off the menu, will not be returning - if they want to charge those prices they need to back them up with good quality food and service - seems we are paying for the renovation

Great food but day was spoilt by very grumpy waiters. Definatley not a family friendly dining place. Our father who we've seen once in the last 2yrs took his kids and grandkids out for his 60th birthday lunch. Food was very good. Waiters were not impressed with the 4 young happy children (3-6yrs old). Apparenlty children laughing and playing in a corner out of the way is not acceptable to the gaming room ambience. Remove the kids menu if you dont want kids dining there, staff attitude towards them was disgusting.

A few weeks ago I dined at roullettes and totally enjoyed their salt and pepper squid. This is why I returned.I found the three young lady workers to have great customer service. I was not happy with my salt and pepper squid this time. In my opinion it had been cooked in oil that was old or not up to temperature, and had no salt. I would also prefer to pay extra and have salad or even a few chips not just a plate full of squid only. I commented to the waitress about this. The response from the chef was that it was a bad batch of squid. If this was the case, seafood being high risk, what was bad about it? Had it been left out of temperature? Why was it served to me instead of being returned to the supplier and taken from the menu?Wouldnt it have been better that he responded with something more like"My appologies ,I really appreciate your input. I will definately investigate your concerns and do whatever I can to rectify any issues and improve our quality"? Instead of admitting to serving me a "bad batch" of seafood? I am not one to complain but I should have known better when I saw the chef with a tea towel on his shoulder right under his ears and hair. Surely he has done food safety courses? Whether you publish or not, I dont care I just hope something is learnt from this.

Main meal was served prior to entree, no clean cutlery offered to eat entree with. Coffee's order was forgotten then when received they were COLD, Coffee's had been sitting waiting for the waitress to bring them out but she was too busy drinking her own cup of tea and talking about how many layers of clothes she was wearing. When informed they had been sitting there for a while she replied that they would still be warm enough without even checking.
