We went as a group of 4 and had the meat and seafood banquet. Our waitresses were lovely, very attentive and showed us how to cook on our bbq. Two of the party were men, and usually eat a lot however we found that slightly more meat would have been good as we left feeling relatively satisfied, but not full by any means. The cost of the banquet didn't justify the amount of meat we were given. Saying that the food that we did have was AMAZING! We will definitely go back, and maybe try some of the other menu offerings. Dessert surprised us - an espresso pannacotta which would have rivalled the best Italian restaurants!

We had the most disappointed experience at Shilla Korean BBQ. The staff were friendly but they didn't seem to know when and how to serve. We had to ask for drink after sat down for more than 30 minutes as no one offered us any drink. The food was alright but the portions were ridiculously small, lucky the refill of rice was free, otherwise we would have to go to the golden arch after a $43 per head banquet dinner.   (Dominata - July, 2011)

Love this place. Went there the first time only because it was in the Entertainment Book but go back all the time now. It's become the "special occasion" favourite of everyone in the family.

Banquets are brilliant because you get to try so many different things... their bean paste is to die for! It's healthy too so while we leave feeling full, we don't feel bloated.

Service is terrific even when it's busy. Only thing that could improve the experience would be a hot towel for your hands at the end of dinner like you sometimes get in Asian restaurants. After using your hands to eat from lettuce cups, it'd be nice to clean the sticky sauces off your fingers before dessert.

What a breath of fresh air this restaurant is. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and their attention to detail is something I haven't come across in a Perth restaurant in a long time. My husband and I chose to sit at an outdoor table overlooking the canal, and although it was further for the staff to walk, we were never made to feel that we were inconveniencing them. You can't cook your own BBQ at the outdoor tables, but the chef will cook it for you at no extra charge. As we hadn't been there before, we each went for the Meat Banquet at $43.00 per head. We were both comfortably full by the end thanks to the perfect timing between courses - the staff ask how long you would like to have between them and there is no rush for you to eat and leave so they can fill the table again! The free, secure parking is an excellent service that they provide as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant for couples or small groups.   (See my reviews (3) - February, 2011)

Service was excellent. Waiting staff were very polite and attentive. The contents of the seafood platter were very limited in variety and amount in view of the price.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was great.

All in all a very pleasant experience.

Me and my Girlfrend went to Shilla last night...First time for me to try korean food as my girlfriend is korean so i thought id better try her countries cuisine. When we got closer to the resturant on arrival we could smell the flavours coming out of there...We were welcomed with very freindly staff...from then on i put trust in my girlfriend to order the food for me as i had no idea what was good or not.

Anyway i cant remember the names of the dishes but they where fantastic lots of flavour and the presentation was excellent. The ambience of the location made it more enjoyable with the nice view of the canal. Overall Shilla is excellent and we will both be returning again soon.   (michael - December, 2010)
