This was, unfortunately, an extremely disappointing experience. Firstly, on a positive note, the ambience was very good as the cafe has lovely furnishings. It was a little cluttered, however, due to lack of space for the number of seats they tried to cram into the place. Also, the noise of the other diners was a bit overwhelming but these are minor quibbles. Unfortunately, the food was of extremely low quality. I ordered a caesar salad and it was the worst I have ever encountered. Basically, it was bowl absolutely full of tiny cubes of bland cheese and bacon. A few limp lettuce leaves and large triangles of croutons lined the sides. The quartered hard boiled egg was seemingly thrown on top as an after thought. I did not pay $13.00 just for a bowl of diced cheese and bacon!!! Absolutely pathetic. If this is the standard of the food there, I am glad I did not order a more expensive and elaborate meal. As a previous reviewer noted, the service is very slow. I think the sole waitress did a good job but she was struggling to keep up with the volume of customers and the difficulties of trying to navigate past all of the cluttered seats in her attempts to locate the table numbers to which she had to deliver each plate. Extra waiting staff, less seats and a more efficient system need to be implemented here. Overall, I would not return to this place, due to the extremely poor quality of the food. No care or effort was shown and it barely resembled a caesar salad. Unfortunately, the beautiful furnishings are an empty facade on this terrible dining experience.

Service was a little slow. Food leans towards patisserie cuisine but there were healthier options like Caesar Salad. Value was excellent but where this place gains the most points is because it simply has the most wonderful ambience ever. Absolutely wonderful decor with lamps, bench seats and rich, warm red wallpapers. A very welcoming, delightful place.
