Upon arrival, rudely directed downstairs to the bistro. Bistro staff would not stop to answer my question about my booking. Had an open palm put up to me and told "I'm too busy" and walked away. Bistro resembled a cafeteria with the strong smell of fried foods and very noisy with people buying take aways. From the bistro area there is no view, a small window area and bright inside lighting meant you could see nothing of the view. An extremely poor experience, couldn't comment on food as my group decided not to stay and be treated as an inconvenience any longer. The menu pricing was far in excess of it's setting.   (KC - June, 2011)

Wow....I had heard of Sky High but never visited. I was told it was a tourist place and was expecting something like the penguin island. I was completely wrong. It has a proper restaurant with a full a la carte menu, happy and knowledgeable staff, a full wine list and proper chefs. The food was fantastic - aged eye fillet was cooked perfectly and my girlfriend had the lamb which was juicy and looked fantastic.

The restaurant was packed, a little noisy but I prefer that than a dead quiet restaurant with no atmosphere. I was lucky enough to get a table near the window and the views were stunning. Almost got carried away with the occasion and proposed to my girlfriend but thankfully woke up out of dream world.

Actually, there was a wedding going on upstairs at the time which put me off initially as I thought we would get second rate service and the food would take ages but I was proved wrong again.

I highly recommend any man to take their girlfriend to Sky High, mine loved it......   (David - See my reviews (2) - April, 2011)

I dined in the Bistro; if you could call it that. The floor surface looked like my garage floor. The view was non existant unless you were standing up. I have dined in the top section before and been happy; but I will never return to the Bistro. We sent our soup back because it was cold and I thought the menu lacked variety. It spoiled what was supposed to be a special night, and was not even that cheap. A pub meal would have been better.   (Jude - March, 2011)

I recently ate at Sky High, the whole setting is great with fantastic food and good service. It is definitely worth the trip up mountain and I would highly reccomend it.   (Leigh - September, 2010)
