we went here thinking that is was a family resterant boy were we wrong i got told off by the waitress saying that 2 customers left because of his screaming ( he threw a lil tantrum but fine after a few mins) they took away all our plates even tho we were still eating got told to hurry up pretty much cuz thhey had another booking ( even tho our group was the only one in the resterant) i will never go there again they were all so rude and not family friendly at all   (not kid friendly at all - See my reviews (2) - June, 2009)

We got there early, but were serviced right away. Sarah girl was great, took our orders. The drinks comes immediately. We ordered salt & pepper calamaris, it was very fresh and the racket leaves salad was fantastic. Pork rib we ordered was dry, but a very good portion. So is the BBQ Seafood platter for 1, fish, mussels, king prawn were fantastic... others were from frozen, then again it is a family restaurant. We got there early,but was allowed to dine.That was great.Sarah was very nice took care of our order.The food was just right for its value.The pork ribs was a little dry, yet the sauce was fantastic. The salt & pepper Calamari was fantastic and the rocket leave salad. The BBQ seafood platter for one can be shared for two actually, was big. The fish, king prawn, calamari, mussels and yabbi were fantastic, but other bits and pieces were from frozen, then again it what you pay for. Even without the frozen, I was happy to pay the same prize. Overall, it was a great first time.   (jochi - See my reviews (3) - April, 2009)

Slices Family Restaurant – 920 Old Caldey HWY Taylors Lakes. Ambiance of the restaurant is great with a great children area and a separate area for smokers. Unfortunately that where it ends the food was of poor, Friday 28th December 2007 my wife, my son and myself had dinner at the restaurant. We ordered the kids meal of fish and chips for my son good value and good size serving, my wife ordered the Chicken Kiev, it was dry and tough with no garlic butter in the middle, I myself ordered the BBQ seafood platter for one a mixture of hot and cold seafood eg: Grilled fish and cold pickled baby octopus. When the platter arrived it looked great with mussel's, baby claims, king prawns, half a Morton bay bug and other good things including cold pickled baby octopus. I started to enjoy my meal when my wife noticed a black hair on my platter we removed this hair and spotted another then moving something else on the platter we found a large amount of black hair, at this point I sent the meal back to the kitchen. With no apology's the meal was replaced with another platter, was it the same platter recycled I could not say but what was cold on the first - pickled baby octopus was now hot and as my knife and fork were taken with the first platter none was replaced with the second. At this stage I asked to speak to the duty manager when he came out to me, I asked him had the meal being recycled he said the he had put the other platter into the bin himself still no apology's for the hair in the first platter. Then I asked about the pickled octopus being cold on the first and hot on the second and was told that was another problem and still no apology's for the meal. So I finish my wine got up with my wife and son left the restaurants paid for one bottle of wine, one kids meal, one over cooked and tough Chicken Kiev and one uneaten BBQ seafood platter.   (Slices Family Restaurant - December, 2007)

Good food. Pasta is always excellent but I had the fish and chips once and was disappointed as it was processed fish rather than a fish fillet. The fish was like fish fingers.   (good family atmosphere - See my reviews (2) - May, 2007)
