Excellent food, no doubting it. But, when you stuff up the order, (because the waitress was not attentive) mains before starters, and I can see the kitchen staff eating in plain view of the dining room, then you will loose people looking for a nice dining experience. Fix front of house to ensure the food and diners are treated with respect!

Definitely not a baby friendly restaurant, wont let my 2.5 years old boy having his food inside!!! Not recommended for young family

What should have been a great catch up lunch with the girls from my work - who haven't seen for 5 months since the birth of my second child - was ruined today by the waitress we encountered. Love the food here, but that's not enough when the ambience and experience is ruined by an inefficient waitress who did not listen to my could not take our order correctly and when the incorrect food arrived she then had the audacity to interrupt us twice and rudely tell us "you ordered number 7 not 8 - I said 7 back to you - next time you make sure you order the right thing". Excuse me? Is this not your job to ensure you have our order correct, which you did not do? So beware - make sure you enunciate your order correctly or beware the wrath of "miss right" the waitress with attitude!!! How do they keep winning awards with this kind of service?

All the staffs work so hard, it is amazing, one little complain is the fact that we got kick out. The lady gave us the bill which we didn't ask for and bloody hell the other lady coundn't even understand english: some kind of either chinese or vietnamese gal!!!! Food and the owner (who cant speak english well) were great though Very pleasant food, cant ask for more

Had lunch there when visiting Adelaide from Perth earlier this year and looking forward to getting back there this week.

The food is arguably the best Thai you can get in Adelaide, which is just as well because the service is appalling! In spite of the poor service we received, I can't wait to go back purely because the food was so fresh, flavoursome and well prepared. It truly is the stuff of cravings....

Star of Siam is a standout restaurant. It has the right balance of Food Quality, Service and Price. Whenever in Adelaide the Star of Siam is always on the top of my list for a meal.

The Mango Barramundi which was the Day's special was absolutely amazing. Service was prompt and smooth. We had two different starters...snapper and sea star...both setting the bar from the beginnning.

The Star of Siam is one of Adelaide's greatest restaurants. The food is always outstanding, as is the wine list and the service. In the 10 years I have been dining there on a weekly basis, I have never found any reason to complain. The food is absolutely devine! In response to Desma in March, perhaps you should consider taking spelling lessons before being compelled to share your criticism of this fine restaurant. Libston - December 2007

The food was excellent along with the service especially with so many people for the staff to attend to with The Classic Adelaide Car Rally on in Gouger Strret . Thank you to all of the staff as they were so busy & yet the meals were served fast & efficiently, excellent job by all .

I love it here. I have always had great service and great food. Try the Thai Fried rice with egg and chicken and the yellow chicken curry. YUM!

A wonderful dining experience. When walking down Gouger Street it is the one place you absolutely cannot go past.

Just before we ate a huge cockroach fell onto out table from the wall. This upset some of my fellow dinners exspecially the one whose place setting it jumbed on. We were squashed up against the wall with no place to move and ladies had trouble getting out of their seats. However the food was nice and good value for money. The service just wasn't there. Not enough staff to look after the crowd. Too crowded.

A great find! Arrived at 8:15, lucky to get a table. A 500ml carafe of house red (perfectly drinkable) costs $8! Will most definitely return, this time with own wine, corkage $10.
