Not impressed by anything apart from a nice renovation. Went for dinner to celebrate a special birthday in March 2011 but found the service and the food to be quite ordinary. Meals took over an hour to arrive despite arriving first for the night, during that time not one wait staff came to check if we needed any drinks, or bread etc. When the meals did arrivie, the 2 steaks were cold and did not comply with the cooking instructions and we had to ask for a steak knife. When the food was sent back, apologies were forthcoming but by that stage it was after 9pm disappointment had replaced appetite. The manager was quite professional BUT only as we walked out the door---he left the awkward part to a rather inexperienced and shy waitress who clearly did not have the skills to deal with the situation. Ink squid pasta--fairly tasteless on the whole and the thai seafood curry was far too spicy and hot to taste seafood flavours. I suppose the test of a good restaurant is consistency as 2010 reviews were quite good.

having dined at stratus several times I do not see that I could ever find a standard to compare I will be forever a stratus diner.I have so many favorites but you have to try the tapas yum yum .service spot on, ambience adds to the experience and the host is just the most I believe his name is Alex

I found Stratus 223 outstanding. The food was sublime, entrees, mains and desserts in particular were to die for. Have eaten at most of Melbourne's top restaurants and can say this is the best food I have had. The ambience is good, the service excellent and the prices more than reasonable. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

What a fantastic find! Recommended by a friend and lived up to everything she said. Food was great and the service was excellent. Very friendly and efficient staff. A lovely place that we will definitely visit again.

I really love this place especially I don't think you could find anything like this in this area. Great food (nice and healthy), value for money and the most important, great services and they catered for my friends need being coelic and myself, lactose intolerance. I love most of the food in the menu but won't go pass the tofu cheesecake. Probably doesn't sounds enticing but you got to try it.
