We had a very enjoyable evening with our interstate guests - much less expensive than we expected for Lygon Street. The meals were generous sizes (except the smallish lobster in hand made pasta - which suited me, but would have been not nearly enough for my husband). We had a great night. The food was fantastic. The Service was good. The prices where great. We had 13 people and all the meals came out together. We all enjoyed our meals. Not one plate had anything left on it. The Spuntini Platters we had for entrees where amazing. Great selection. It was a casual resturant with a great feel. Great for the birthday occusion. Very relaxed. The staff where very nice and where more then happy to help. They even did a split bill for 13 people! I did feel for the young lady trying to work it all out. She did a great job. For a small cafe/resteraunt Stuzzichino was excellent.

The food was great and beinng a student it was easy to afford.

The staff were all very attentive and helpfull

and our food came out quickly.

The pasta i had was great and so was everybody elses

I had a wonderful dining experience in this modern cafe. I am sorry to hear that these people had such a negative time. I visited this cafe about a year ago for the first time and i haven't looked back. As a came across this website i took the time and read through the peoples' experience. Although it saddens me to know that we Australians are being so hard on those people who are working very hard day and night in this industry toearn a living and to provide for their families and at the same time are providing US a place where we can go meet with friends and families and enjoy a social cup of coffee or a gourmet meal. The food was great & full of flavour but lacked little presentation...But hey l don't eat with my eyes.

The servce didn't miss a beat as the owner made sure of that.The place had character was hip & funky not like the other Italian rest. Worth a visit am sure you wont be dissappointed.

Our orders were incorrect twice and had to be sent back, we asked for water when we first sat down but was never given it, some of the staff were abrupt and did not make us feel welcome. By the end of the lunch, I understood that there was some miscommunication in the kitchen and the waitresses were apologetic. It would have been better if they did not blame the other staff as this doesn not look good but at least the apology was made. The location was very nice and the food and coffees were good. Maybe some relaxing music should be outside to improve the ambience.   (May, 2008)
