Visited the tower at the beginning of March 2012. This was our only bad experience in Sydney. Service poor, food very much average and prices sky high. The view was great but for $180 for two the whole evening was a failure. Don't go there for a meal but worth the effort for the view.   (John G. Warner - April, 2012)

I visited the tower buffet on 23.09.11 with a group of 11 from WA. From the very start the staff were extremely rude and arrogant. Food was very disappointing and restaurant looked very dingy. The worst customer service we have ever encountered in Australia. Extremely overpriced for the poor quality of food. We all expected so much more from such a prime location.   (dodo01 - September, 2011)

Sydney Tower Buffet was an extreme let down!!!! Went there for a special occasion it certainly did not meet any expectations and the service was very poor.

We first sat down to a dirty table with crumbs and hair on it and it looked like the place had seen much better days (in desperate need on a clean and coat of paint.

The food was below par and if anyone reading is planning to go to this place PLEASE save yourself the money and book somewhere else.   (rusty6 - August, 2011)

Very poor quality of food, the worst in Australia. Speaking with friends afterwards, it is well known by the locals for being a rip off attracting tourists who will never go back. As this was a treat for us, paid for by my parents as a holiday gift we had no idea what was in store, if it was good 30 years ago, sadly the glory days are just that, totally out of date and certainly retro! Pity we didn't read some reviews before the meal was booked. If you want a good, quality meal then my advise is find somewhere else to eat.

Finally the views are stunning but that is the restaurants only good point. 20th February 2011.   (Sydney Tower Restaurant - March, 2011)

We were 10 people , 4 from Italy and 3 from Argentina. My husband and myself with 2 daughters since 29 years we live in Sydney had lovely experiences going to the tower every time our family from overseas came. Now our experience was different. I remembered staff serving lovely food all around , inside beautiful quioskos (I can't find a better word) , everything was nicer. Personally I liked the food I chouse but some of my guests didn't like especially the chicken. Well, I don't like give bad comments but maybe is better for you know that some improvements are needed.

Sorry that my english is not my first lenguage and I can't express in a better way.

Also we sow that the price was 49.95 per person and instead was 65 dolars pp.

      Kind regards

Food was very poor one of the worst buffets ever . I have eaten there many times we had better quality food from a stall at the zoo yesterday. The host was great as with most of the staff. Have they even eaten the food they are serving their customers ? They need a chef urgently View was great. .sound system kept cutting in and out every 3 seconds will never take my tourist friends there again ever Kerry   (Kerry - See my reviews (2) - January, 2011)

While the view was fantastic, the service was poor and the food was not the high standard I was expecting. The bearnaise sauce I ordered was cold, I asked for it to be warmed up and was told by our waitress that the kitchen is very busy so she "will see what she can do". The sauce was returned and the waitress explained that it is meant to be served warm. I told her it was cold. In the end I told her to take it back. There was no offer of a replacement and when you asked the staff for something if felt like they were doing you a favour!   (smills - See my reviews (3) - January, 2011)

The view, of course, is unbeatable at this place, but that's pretty much it! The staff is the most arrogant and ignorant I've ever come across. I experienced trouble with their EFTPOS system multiple time and had to chase after my money after they withdraw it 3x. No apologies from their side, just rude comments.   (Frida - See my reviews (2) - December, 2010)

First of all the lastest review before this one was referring to the buffet that is located on another level NOT the 360 Bar and Dinning, if you don't believe me read the menu on their website you will not see indian nor ice cream.

Me and my partner had a wonderful time at the 360, we had drinks before hand and they "asked" if we want a refil. We then went and hand dinner the main was okay we both had fish and we were satisfied, the service was equally as charming as they were always looking out for us. Before I forget the deserts are well presented and tasty to, you might want to take your time eating it. The view was possibly the best experience of it all as you can see all views of Sydney. We saw Darling Harbour and the Harbour Bridge in all one massive window,so you can see 2 places at once which is excellent.

All in all it was a great experience, worth the money that you pay for. I have done Marketing and have studied the science of how service meets price, therfore it's good to take my review into conisderation.   (Shantino - See my reviews (2) - November, 2010)

Was very disappointed, organised a special day for my daughters 16 birthday, the buffet caterded for high class people, not much variety for us everyday people, did not cater for children as well as I thought. Thought that students should not be charged adult prices. Was under the assumption that soft drink was included in the price but not because I didnt pay in full on line. A jug of soft drink was a hugh $12.00, the most expensive sryup and soda water I have ever drank.   (louise elliott - See my reviews (2) - November, 2010)

      Very dissapointed.

Food: poor quality, bland, not presentable, worst food i have ever seen served at a buffet restaurant. oysters were the smallest i have seen and not cleaned properly, alot of salads and deep fried frozen foods. nothing appealing at all.

Ambience: Dirty tables, cheap plastic chairs, very dirty/messy waiter stations with overloading uneaten food, very long queues, dirty/stained windows, no background music, very unpleasant atmosphere as soon as the lift doors open.

Value For Money: we wouldn't even pay $20pp for a meal like this, expected a much higher standard of food from this restaurant. basically paying $70+ for a view.

Service: Wait staff did not appear to be enjoying working and hard to get some friendly service or any service at all. and the place was disorganised with messy tables everywhere. however we must give praise to the Manager who handled our compliant very professionally.

this was meant to be a very special evening, but as soon as we entered the restaurant we were utterly disappointed!! wonder why patrons need to pay before they enter. very unpleasing atmosphere, low quality of service, friendly service non existent, the food is of 'food court' quality.

Honestly the most disappointing dining experience i have ever had. we had high expectations, we really should have read reviews beforehands. we were left very very unimpressed!!!!!   (Mr. Gumbatron - See my reviews (2) - July, 2010)

Rude impersonal staff, tacky-dingy-dark environment and packet food reminiscent of a local take away store, or Coles frozen food section.

Significant changes have obviously occurred since these info pages were written.

All meals are buffet, thawed seafood, Indian dishes and an underwhelming carvery section. Deserts include packet ice cream, supermarket puddings and pavlova.

All in all this dining experience was a waste of such an unbelievable location. Could have taken takeaway up to the viewing deck.   (Twobit - See my reviews (2) - May, 2010)

I had a booking Valentines Day,so we expected great service. We had toask for a wine menu after waiting 10minutes and when we did get our wine we had to ask to have it refilled from the bottle that we had bought.

The view was great but the service wasn't.   (See my reviews (2) - February, 2010)

View cannot be beaten. Food not very imaginative and presentation much better at any country RSL Club. For a country with such good fresh food it is a pity that frozen prawns and frozen calamari get served up. The meat is a disaster, what must tourists think of Aussie produce. Not good enough for a Sydney Attraction, smarten yourself up. Long queues to get a meal and the same at the bar to get a drink and they tell you you have to be out in an hour and a half. Staff friendly enough but obviously backpackers doing a job whilst on holiday.   (Andy, Sydney - See my reviews (2) - February, 2010)

You leave the restaurant with the feeling that you pay a lot of money just for the view. View, obviously, is amazing but that's it!

Food: I rated average because wasn't nothing special.

Ambience: Good because you are in such a privilege place with such a good view that is hard not to rate it high.

Value for money: Too expensive for the quality you getting and the food you getting.

Service: I'm in this industry and honestly speaking, they could and should be more professionals. In fact, one of the waiters which is from south america, call me brother. He wasn't rude at all with us but you need to be really careful which words your using with customers, specially when you are spending $500 for a dinner. You want a bit more professionalism.

It is a pity I didn't read the reviews on your Previous User Experiences. I notice a large number agree, the food is of poor quality, and Greatly overpriced. Had I read your reviews I would not have wasted @650.00 for my son's pre wedding dinner and given him the money instead. Having been before we were very disappointed in the quality of the food and range this time, we noticed on the way to our table that there were bug tails in the first section by the time we got our drinks and went to the servery they had been replaced with processed cold meat. the range of salads and vegetables was very limited. The dessert section what can I say mini pavolas and tub icecream, jelly cubes. Not value for money.   (Jim - See my reviews (2) - November, 2009)
