    Who is tant pour tant?

tant pour tant is a locally owned and operated Patisserie that focuses heavily on promoting and offering its customers the opportunity to purchase local product, using Tasmanian produce where possible, particularly from the Northern region of our State.

tant pour tant has an affordable breakfast and lunch menu, as well as exquisite cakes and pastries. tant pour tant is known for great coffee as well!

tant pour tant provides consumers with quality products, French style, that have a focus on contemporary lines to suit today’s market. The intricate details of the business have been carefully examined by focusing on a broad spectrum of similar businesses that operate along similar lines within Tasmania, interstate and internationally.

The explosion of the “coffee and café culture” demonstrates the need for new and contemporary food options for Launceston’s consumer market, along with the increase of tourist numbers within the north of the state.

Local residents and Tasmanian’s in general have now developed regular exposure to many new and different dining experiences and food choices and as a result are making informed choices when it comes to the quality of a product they are purchasing and consuming.

The focus of tant pour tant is to offer a unique product and different concept to the Launceston and wider markets, which has not previously been offered.

went for lunch, the most amazing south cape brie, it was absolutely delicous.

excellent food, service and price. i would have thought that having booked in advance we could have at least had a table inside, as it was very cold outside, with no heating/undercover area....

As soon as our cruise arrived East Devonport early in the morning, our group of eight immediately drived down to this beautiful patisserie in Launceston which we've heard so much about. We arrived their front door early so we waited patiently outside for an hour (breakfast starts at 8.30am on Sat, not 8.00am as per website). When our orders arrived our tables, we were not disappointed at all. The coffee was fabulous with the smoothest froth on my skinny latte. My husband and I had a pain au chocolat and toasted fruit brioche with delicious jam, butter and leatherwood honey, which were abosolutely devine. I took away a loaf of freshly baked olives and sundried-tomatoes bread - it was the best bread I've ever tasted!   (tiff_melb - See my reviews (3) - March, 2009)
