Opened in May 2006 in Victoria Street, East Gosford, the heart of the Central Coast’s most exciting dynamic and diverse shopping village, the multi award winning Taste Gourmet Grocer and Cafe is a true food lover’s destination. Located in the thriving village of East Gosford, Taste Gourmet Grocer & Cafe is the Coast's favourite café & gourmet grocer with a commitment to fabulous food and real service.

Owners Brian Lawler & Michele Menchin focus on great food at reasonable prices, from gourmet grocer basics to specialty deli items, to selected Central Coast regional produce, our Taste Gourmet to Go home meals, gourmet hampers, award winning cafe meals and the Coast’s best coffee.

Taste Gourmet has quickly become the place for locals, family and friends to meet, or to taste and talk food and coffee with our experienced staff. Our hard work has ben recognised in a series of awardsincluding TWICE winning the Central Coast Business Achiever Awards for CAFE OF THE YEAR in 2009 and 2007. We were also a Finalist in the 2007 & 2008 Deli/Gourmet Food category. And the winning continued with our own Sharon Thacker winning Central Coast Employee of the Year.

We were also a finalist in the Sun Weekly 2007 and 2008 Central Coast Local Business Awards in the category of Outstanding Café. We are also listed in the prestigious Sydney Morning Herald 2010 Good Food Guide (and in 2008 & 2009).

A delicatessen with small goods cut to order, salads made fresh daily in our own kitchen & fresh produce and breads from our suppliers arriving daily. There’s an impressive selection of our own gourmet products, hand made regional foods, and imported European and Asian delicacies. Our fridges have premium small goods, gourmet meals and sausages, and take home meals. Best of all, we seek out new, interesting ingredients and products so you’ll find something new to try on every shelf.

Drop in to the Cafe for a cup of the Coast's best coffee and a freshly baked cake, or choose from our extensive menu for breakfast lunch or dinner where the emphasis is on fresh, innovative menu selections prepared with the best ingredients in our special Cafe style. We're open Friday night for dinner, coffee, takeaway and shoppign with live music from 5pm and there's live music on Sundays from 12.30pm.
